Is This It: 10/10 Room on Fire: 9.5/10 First Impressions: 6.5/10
No way there is that big of a differential between First Impressions and Is This It.
As long as those three albums are in some kind of order as your top three then I don't have a big issue.
Definitely is imo. First impression has a lot of filler and some songs are flat out bad. Is This It is flawless from front to back. First impressions is closer to Angles and Comedown Machine than is This It and Room on Fire
I didn't say NME has never been wrong before, but to say it's crazy to think that First Impressions is arguably their best album I think is off crazy.
I don't think Room on Fire stands up to Is This It or First Impressions. Just my opinion though.
I'm sorry dude, but I think it's absurd to put Is This It and First Impressions of Earth on an equal playing field. The former is one of the most influential and groundbreaking albums of the 2000's, whereas the latter is a cluttered mess of primarily mediocre songs.

I don't believe that. Heart in a Cage, Juicebox, You Only Live One, Ask Me Anything are far from mediocre IMO. To each their own.
Yeah you named the good tracks. But Killing Lies? 15 Minutes? Vision of Division? Evening Sun? Those songs aren't that good. Which already makes it an inferior album to Is This It and Room on Fire (which have 0 bad songs)

Alright, after this I'm done on this whole debacle. Im out numbered.
I agree, a few bad tracks...but to say Is This It and Room on Fire have 0 bad songs is an exaggeration. When It Started, Alone - Together, The Way It is, and I Can't Win are nothing to ride home about.

Agreed. Although, if it was allowed, I would be put Live at Royal Albert Hall at #2.
The same goes for me. I recently had to choose between buy I g the vinyl for Ladies + Gentleman and the vinyl for Royal Albert Hall because I didn't have the money for both of them. It was torture but I had to get Ladies + Gentleman
