Soooo... A friend of mine just informed me she got two all access bands so she can do a report and she's hooking me up with one!!!! Woo woooooo
An All Access pass for a "report"? Sure she doesn't just mean a media pass and thinks its all access? I know the approvals went out today.
Sorry, no. She is just getting the access pass and she writes for a local Gainesville thing anyway, so she is going to use it as a reason to write a piece on Shaky Knees. I've no idea what it exactly is, she just told me it's all mine. I just know I can go backstage and stuff. Sorry guys for my lack of knowledge on the specifics of the situation. I was just really excited when she texted and figured I'd share. I feel like Ron Burgundy when he says he slept with Veronica on air and his reason to her is that he was excited and wanted to yell it from the top of a mountain but all he had was a camera broadcasting the news so he did that instead. I wanted to yell about it from the top of a mountain but all I had was a computer with access to a forum about music festivals, so I posted on their instead

For the record, I wasn't trying to call you out or anything, I just didn't want you to get excited thinking it was all access when it sounded like it was only a media pass since I knew approval emails were sent out today.

Oh yeah, you're all good. It's just that, looking back at the post, I realized how excited I had gotten with so little info on it. It's whatever, the benefits I get from the band will be more than I would get from a regular band, so I'll be happy. I'll be sure to let folks know what the exactly I get out of it after the fest.
Edit: Strand Of Oaks isn't playing They were on some initial listings of the lineup, but I saw a post on Facebook where Shaky Knees said that they're not playing.
Another band called FMLYBND is also listed that's not on the lineup. Maybe they're playing one of the late nights? or the Sun. TBA?
Parking question for those who know the area -- It looks like there's a mall (Midtown?) a short distance from the park. Would I be safe parking my vehicle there all day?

Are you talking about Midtown Place? If so it wouldn't get stolen but it would probably get booted.

I don't agree with your choice to see Clutch over Mac DeMarco, but I understand it.

If you look up at the way Ponce and Buford stages are setup it looks like they are facing each other. And while this will be going on the entire weekend. I think it's really funny to think of it as Black Lips vs. Fidlar. That's just crazy that they're playing at the same time. The same people will want to see those bands. Since they'll be playing so close together I imagine a lot of people running back and forth between them. We'll definitely see some of both.
I'm counting on being able to see Mac at roo. We skipped Clutch the last time they played at roo and I regret it big time. They're one of my favorite bands to see live and I don't want to ever skip skip them again.

Oh man. If Black Lips and FIDLAR start to compete directly for audience, things can get out of hand quickly. Neither act is really known for having a lot of restraint.
That's fair. It's just hard for me to justify seeing Clutch for the 14th-ish time rather than see Mac for the 2nd especially since I have seen them tour on their latest album.

Exactly. That's what we were talking about Black Lips and Fidlar are going to be yelling at each other (if the stages are that close) and playing louder to compete. Going to be crazy.
Clutch will be playing new songs. I haven't seen Mac, so it's hard to miss him but I can't really miss Clutch. Plus custeph said she's going to see them with us.

I said probably. And that it would be for some of it. I see myself doing both honestly. Also, I'm still half asleep from Coachella. I need time to study the schedule. But yeah, probably.

I love the idea of this. I probably won't leave Fidlar but it'd be fun to just run between stages and being incredibly rowdy at both

Damn. Thanks for the help. I guess I'll just have to drive to a MARTA station and use that then.
