Attempting to clean my apartment, and get ready for the weekend. Started to get a little nervous, as this is the first time I have ever went solo to a festival. I then found my drawstring backpack that my study abroad professor gave all of us before we left to Australia...he had them all printed saying "He Who Returns from A Journey Is Not The Same As He Who Left". Just made me even more excited, and reminded me that I need to wash it.
We should organize some sort of GroupMe to stay in touch over the weekend, maybe could get a few us to go in together on a uber to Terminal West and back on Saturday. Problem solved, Phyre Fest.

Hi guys, I just found out about this forum and this is my first post. I really can't wait for Friday and the late night shows with PTM and Milky Chance. Hope to meet some of you at the festival and/or the late night shows.
And where did we land on brunch? We need to get our shit together guys.
We landed on some people wanting to do it but nobody throwing out ideas for places.
I say a place close to the venue that serves alcohol and food and is open at 11am ish.
I don't know anything about Atlanta to even begin suggesting places. But by looking at Google maps I see Mary Mac's Tea Room, Gladys Knight's Chicken & Waffles, Park Tavern and Vortex Bar & Grill within reasonable distance of Central Park.
Hope that's not the set list, that would be a disappointment.
I don't like the post-Kim-Deal's-departure Pixies, but I know that Frank Black is known for not actually having setlists so a different setlist is a high possibility.

I think it's funny they are already not playing Indie Cindy at their shows

On Friday I'm going to see Jukebox the Ghost, the Kooks, Kaiser Chiefs, Mastodon and the Strokes. On Saturday I'm seeing Interpol and Noel Gallagher (not sure who else yet). On Sunday I think Spiritualized, Minus the Bear and Tame Impala. For late nights I'll go to PTM and Milky Chance. Any suggestions for other acts on Saturday and Sunday are welcome (the ones playing earlier).
For those that are interested, my buddy is going to the box office tomorrow morning to find out if that tattoo gets you in free for life or just the weekend. I will report back.
Here's the deal:
Definitely free this year. Have to go box office to claim.
Not for sure next year or for life, but maybe.
If you already have a ticket for this year, you can upgrade to VIP.
VIP means free beer all weekend.
I already have a ticket, so I got the tat for the free beer.

Wait till you see the setlist from tonight's NOLA show. Awesome show and it seemed like they played around 30 songs.

If you get it on your forehead, they'll give you a pass for life.

I am staying at the La Quinta Inn that is about 10-15 miles out from where the festival is at (Faces Perry location). I am going to late night shows Friday and Saturday. I thought about utilizing Marta like they have suggested instead of paying to park near Central Park. However, the Marta lines will be closed by the time late night shows end, correct (the trains run until like 1AM?)? So, then, my only option is to park by Central Park... if I do so, will these garages close before late nights end? ie- should I be going to the garage and moving my car and driving to Portugal The Man (Masquerade) and Spiritualized (Terminal West))? That seems like it is going to be a real pain in the butt. Is it free to park on the streets if I am moving my car after the headliners? Also, any recommended garages would be good!

Hey guys me and my good friend are heading to Atl and looking to make new friends. We'd love to meet up with people from the Roo board, so I wanted to drop a line and try to figure something out.
