Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I am also waiting (and getting antsy), I'm assuming if they said we're approved and took our deposit we are in? or is there a possibility they over-approved the number of volunteers needed and will just stop sending waivers?
that's what my boyfriend is worried about as well. I wouldnt worry about that YET, especially since a lot of people seem to still be waiting. Also, a few people recieved replies saying that not all the waivers were sent out yet. My boyfriend emailed them but didnt hear back so were basically just going off of what others have heard.
Dude, I seriously can't concentrate on anything but bonnaroo right now. . .It's to the point where I'm poking myself in the eye with foreign objects. . . I think I just need to be sedated until Tuesday. . . . Dystopian Dream
I Volunteered for PODS, they said PODS were full so I was reassigned as during fest with camping @ vol camping. S0 OK , not a problem, the NO waiver is also making me nervous, I guess I just need to chill ! It's Bonnaroo all WILL work out!
this is also my 1st time volunteering, but 4th bonnaroo...i also have not received my waiver yet...i also had some other questions: i only live about 15 min from the festival site and will be in summer school tues, wed, and thurs morning...do you think they will let me leave and not start camping until thursday night? also, does anyone know what kind of work we will be doing? i take it they make our schedules for us, but i really want to see zac brown, beastie boys and nin...i also want to hear all the great dj's on friday night! i will also be attending alone and am looking forward to meeting everyone...if anyone has any info about this, please pass it along...
^^that sounds like alot of coming and going. You should email Karen with your school schedule. I know her email is in this thread in the last few pages.
Seth, the staff are very easy going and helpful. They don't care when you camp there really as long as ou show up to work. If you have hours during Zac Brown Band(saw them at truemusiclounge a couple years back and loved them!) maybe you can switch-up with another volunteer. The work ranges from parking passes to painting to holding Mr Capps umbrella, you just never know until you arrive. Have fun!
Instead of dirt and poison, we have rather chosen to fill our hives with honey and wax; thus furnishing mankind with the two noblest of things, which are sweetness and light.
so what happens next? do they send us more info? when to get there (times etc), what to bring (paperwork, id?) etc curious, anyone know about how many volunteers there are?

I live in Murfreesboro and we ran into the same problem with summer classes, so I emailed Karen. She told me that the roads for all volunteers will be closed at 2 pm on Wednesday. There will no re-entry let in no matter what pass you have. So in other words, I would say you would need to be back before then in order to not have to wait in line with all the Bonnaroo attendees on Thursday. That's the information she sent me, so I'd email her and see what she says. Good luck!
yeah, i sent her an e-mail, but am yet to hear anything back...my class is from 7:30 am-9:40 am mon.-thurs. so i could get there as soon as i get out of class on thurs...i won't have a problem going to the meeting on tues and i would like to get my camp set up and then just come back thurs when i get out of class...no class on friday, so that won't be a problem either...when is your class?
just got my e-mail from karen saying that all volunteers are required to camp starting tuesday night...guess i'll have to miss 2 days of classes, but bonnaroo is so worth it!! will the vendors be open then or are we on our own for food those 2 days?

There won't be vendors open, so you'll be on your own. Fortunately though, there will be a shuttle that runs to and from town, so you can get stuff from Walmart or somewhere else if need be.
Got and sent my waiver today! Oh lord, I have no idea. I am going to start to prepare tomorrow!
If we camp outside of Volunteer Camping (ie: Tent Only) during the festival, are we allowed to come back in to get into our car/take a shower after a looong day?
From what I remember reading in this thread the volunteer camp is over by POD 1. I could be wrong.
I also have a question. What time during the day should we be there? I'm pre-fest and I have two choices on the Greyhound. I need to know which ticket to buy. All the waiver said was to be there on Sunday. No hour specified. I assume there will be some sort of orientation that day.
Pod 1? That's in the woods... in BFE... please someone tell me it's closer than Pod 1.

I just looked at map from 2007 and it is right beside VIP, so really close to centeroo, really far from other campsites. And ......shade is always good! By the way wish me luck...gonna send in deposit tonight(finally found a petsitter for my pup!)

how much money on average is everyone bringing this year since we're going to be there for almost a week? i'm a drinker and am probably bringing 2 cases of beer and a box of wine...i also like to enjoy some good corn and will probably want to buy some there...what's a good figure to bring?
