Good evening Inforoosters,
This Saturday night (2/9/2013) around 10 p.m. Eastern Inforoo will be going into "maintenance mode" for a few short hours. During this time you will not be able to view the board until we are finished working on a few things. We are hoping it only takes 2 to 4 hours, possibly even less.
Once "maintenance mode" is over and you are able to view the board again there is a short process of upgrading your user account to what is known as a "Global Account". It's something new for Proboards and it will also help us with a few things going forward. It's also nothing to be worried about and will require minimal effort on your part.
To upgrade your account to a "Global Account" you will simply try to log in as you normally would with your username and password. You will be brought to the "Link" page. Here you can change the email associated with your ProBoards account by clicking the Change Email button and typing in your desired email address. If you do not wish to do so, and are sure that your email account is valid and activated, enter your forum password in the Verify Password box.
After that you will be brought to the Upgrade page. Your Username and Account Email are filled out for you. You are then asked to Create New Password and Verify Password. You can either create a new password, or use the password that you used to login to your old account. Then enter your birthday as you would like it to appear on your new global account, and press Upgrade Account. (NOTE: If you get a message that says "No account with this username was found!" make sure that you are logging in with your username and not the display name.)
That's it! Then you will be back to posting like normal. If there are any questions or problems when trying to upgrade your account we will be available on Facebook, Twitter, or you can e-mail us at info@inforoo.com.

The maintenance mode will begin tonight, 2/9. Sorry for any confusion about the dates. Tonight the board will go in maintenance mode and when it's back you will need to upgrade your account
