I guess what I was asking was: does a portion of the money go to something other than ACE/tree grower/tree installer, etc.? I like the idea and certainly want more trees no matter what we have to do for them, but I was just curious. Seems like a lot of money for a tree.

For a live 6in Oak...this is not a bad price. It also takes a bit of care until established. Live trees of any decent size cost quite a bit. Add in the human cost to transport, plant, and care until estabilshed...

For a 6in Oak it is a lot of money. But for a 6 foot one, it's not that bad. Those fuckers take a long time and love to grow. It's one of the reasons we Druids revere them so much.

I was not complete, a 6in diameter oak is what I should have said...my bad.
I love them as well. Live in 7 acres of white and red oak with the occasional shag bark hickory, sycamore, and aromatic cedar. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
I started to do it the other day but had to quit in the middle of pay pal registration for some reason. Will do this in the AM. Thanks for the bump reminder!
