Billy Idol was in a band called Generation X. He filmed the video Sweet Sixteen at the coral castle. He performed at the Roger Waters live in Berlin Wall concert.

It being the XX would fit and would fit my thinking on they're releasing clues on artists that are well known to likely be playing bonnaroo before the clue drops. EDIT; the-tourist.org/and a 40 second the XX-tourist.
SOLVED
A different way to think on the 'who live in coral castle' would be tourists. Haven't made the connection to the XX yet other than islands mentioned above, but this way of thinking could liken it to Death Cab and their 'you're a tourist' song, but haven't tried to make the rest fit.

I convert to the Billy Idol side. Definitely makes sense, follows the pattern of clues being based off of random wikipedia facts. Can't say I'm too excited though...

Billy Idol used to date Macca's adopted daughter, maybe they're planning on getting back together on stage while Macca and Billy Idol play a set together.
