Anyone feel like explaining what this thing is all about? Google tells me all of the songs are connected, but what makes the show so good? And what is a rhombus?
The Cliff Notes: - For his senior thesis, Trey wrote a musical story entitled "The Man Who Stepped into Yesterday" - Gamehendge is the mythical land where this story takes place - It includes many of the most beloved songs in the Phish catalog & has many adjacent songs to form some of Phish's earliest lore - The Rhombus is a sculpture in New Jersey (or at least was, last I looked I think it was moved) where Trey and his writing partner Tom Marshall used to hang out. They wrote some songs there. - They hadn't played the entire suite of songs in one show since 1994
it's all on phish.net / google if you want the details

deegleberry already got you, i'll just specify the the rhombus represents either a portal into gamehenge or gamehenge itself. so the stage becoming the rhombus was us entering the world of gamehenge.
while some gamehenge songs are more rarely played (forbins, mockingbird, icculus, tela, the lizards, TMYSIY, the sloth, mcgrupp), a lot of phish's standards are gamehenge tunes: wilson, ac/dc bag, punch you in the eye, llama, divided sky, even possum is tangentially a gamehenge tune woven into the story during phish's career. also esther, reba, and axilla parts 1 and 2 have been looped into gamehenge.
harpua isn't always gamehenge related, sometimes it doesn't have anything to do with gamehenge. depends on narration. for example the 7/4/2010 harpua was about how the only two bands who aren't "won't bullshit you" are phish and rage against the machine.

bonnaroo lineup pretty good but it doesn’t top phish at sphere for the thing i’m looking forward to this year lol. i’ve been listening to the podcast series about big cypress and it’s really good. i personally think that set is a big droning to listen to but i now have a newfound appreciation for it. i’d love to do the phish festival in august but i don’t think i can swing it. i’m going to the sphere with my dad and two other friends and none of them listen to phish so i’m creating a guide for them and i’m going to send them the gamehendge video as a prereq watch for getting ready for phish
Having said that it was just pointed out on Reddit that the first day of Mondegreen will be 20 years to the first day of Coventry. The real "do over" fest? 😮

Glide opener.
Yeah I’m going to wait for summer tour dates before I snag my ticket. If we get an ATL 3 day that’s a lot closer for me.

summer rumors are all over the place, but the gorge seems like it's happening, probably mid july, and three night alpharetta run either first or second weekend of august.

Whoot whoot. Alpharetta run is what I’m hoping for. Any rumors about any shows in the Carolinas? A 3 night run of Phish and 2 Gizz shows in August would be real nice.

i haven't heard anything about the carolinas but rumors are still pretty slim.

phish festival FAQs always have jokes and are worth a read.
Can I bring 1 car and buy 2 car camping passes to have a bigger campsite?
No.
Can I bring 2 cars and buy 1 car camping pass to have a smaller campsite?
No.
Can we park wherever we want and move our cars once we are in? I'm kind of a jerk
No!
Can I set up a food kiosk or sell T-shirts?
No unlicensed vending will be allowed at the festival.
But they're very funny t-shirts. There's a picture of bowling pins and it says "Split Happens."
Hard pass.
Can I share my passes with someone if I go one day and my friend goes the other?
No. All weekend passes are non-transferable wristbands, which must be worn at all times during the event.
Ok then Carmen, you'll have to get your own ticket.
The FAQ is not the best forum for you to communicate with Carmen.
I see the festival is cashless. What forms of payment should I bring?
Mondegreen is a cashless event. Accepted credit card payments include any US-issued and most internationally-issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB or Union Pay logo. Accepted contactless payments include Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Wallet and contactless cards.
I see the festival is pantsless. What forms of legwear should I bring?
No one said the festival is pantsless. In fact it is the opposite of pantsless. It is pants-forward.
