Noblesville dates work best for me I think. Might try lotto for seats or pit
i’m an hour south of indy so i’m putting in for lotto for a 3 day pass and i might camp. if that ends up being your only phish stop let me know because i’m very excited for that run but i don’t know anyone in my area that likes phish enough to do 3 days haha. i’m dragging my dad and a couple friends to see them at the sphere but that’s because they want to see the sphere like anyone else does and i was lucky enough to get tickets
Now after the lack of southern summer tour dates wish I got my dad to try for Sphere lotto. I’ll def let ya know if I end up getting tickets. I also don’t have anyone who wants to travel 8 hours for 3 nights of Phish lol.

one of the best parts of 3.0 phish we don't talk about enough is the way trey emphasizes the "I PLUG THE DISTRESS TUBE UP TIGHT" followed by page mashing that organ note. i always miss the moment when i'm listening to an older chalkdust and he just sings it regular.

Gimme an example please and I’ll listen
regular is pretty much any 1.0 version:
then listen to the way he sings it during the moon palace chalkdust.
then he slowly started putting more emphasis on the lyric as 3.0 went along, in recent years he really belts it out.

my lottery request hit for a 3-day pass for deer creek and i found some dude on reddit that lets people camp at his farm for cheap every time phish comes around and then shuttles people in and out of the venue with rented school buses for the show. watching phish for a few days while camped out in the woods sounds like my dream life

Which campsite is this? My buddy and I stayed at Close-By Campground for the Deer Creek Dead & Company show last year, and it was pretty great. They had a shuttle, but we walked. It was a 20-30 minute walk.
Upcoming Shows: 11/8 - Goose @ The Andrew J. Brady Center 11/13 - Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros w/ The Wolfpack & The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall 2/14 - Alan Walker @ The Fillmore Detroit 4/15 - Ben Folds w/ The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra @ Cincinnati Music Hall

so sleepybear is the main one by deer creek but it costs $400 for 4 nights then i found this guy named scoot and he was only charging $30 for the weekend. his spot is in pendleton, indiana and he says it's a 15 minute country road drive away

I've seen some posts from scoot on reddit and he seems like a real one. When he made a post about deer creek camping someone replied about it being a great deal if it isn't a murder camp, and scoot replied "the only thing we're murdering is bad vibes". Hell yea

right? why mess around with problematic melanie martinez when you can just go see the best band play like ten hours of music and help scoot murder bad vibes?

Scoot is murdering something. Not sure it’s vibes.
i summarized the article for my group in an email:
• Phish had thought about adding another weekend of shows since there are only 4 and the aftermarket prices got higher than the U2 shows. They nixed that idea because they wanted the shows they do there to be special.
• Phish has a creative director and her goal for the shows was to have people have absolutely no idea what to expect.
•Trey said that Vegas has a reputation for having bands play there to play their old albums and hits and he said that’s not his interest with the Sphere shows. Phish has also never commemorated an album anniversary of their’s.
•Phish never repeats a song during a run so they’re expected to do 80 songs over 4 nights.
•The band has an album out in July and new material is expected to live debut during the course of the run.
•Phish’s creative director got her start as the lighting director for the Stop Making Sense tour in 1983 so that’s really fucking cool.
•The 4 Sphere shows will be connected by an unannounced theme.
•The middle of the article summarizes the story of Phish and how they formed and when they broke up and what not. The author does a good job of talking about all of this and what makes the band’s shows unique.
•Trey has a reputation for being a control freak and his wife calls him the “relentless communicator” and is apparently very good about rallying a crew and getting people to work with each other. “Teams win” is Trey’s mantra and he repeated that several times in the interview.
•Trey also says the band isn’t a democracy and his vision is the reason the band can pull off recording an album and doing the Sphere and preparing major set pieces for their last Madison Square Garden New Year’s run. The band agrees and they said they discuss major things that he brings up but they aren’t worried past that.
•Phish at Sphere got started after Trey went to a New York Rangers game with James Dolan, MSG owner and basically the creator of Sphere. There was talk of Phish being the first band at Sphere but U2 ended up taking that spot.
•Anastasio saw the U2 Sphere show and he enjoyed it but he said he has different ideas for how Phish should play Sphere. He said that Bono and The Edge are rockstars and there are many shots during the show where it’s them playing to the camera, so he doesn’t have any interest in having the camera on himself and the band because that’s just not what he does.
•Trey noticed when he watched U2 that the sound was primarily in mono and he learned the reason why it was set up the way is because of the Sphere’s shape. Since the inside is round, a stereo mix isn’t exactly doable because of the natural echo and reverb.
•Phish’s sound guy, with Sphere staff created a mini Sphere in the band’s rehearsal space in Pennsylvania. With the mini Sphere, Trey said he was able to hear what the band sounded like from different sections to dial in their sound for the audience. He said, “And so I’ve created a soundscape that is a lot wider than what U2 did.
•Last paragraph of the article is Trey saying that he genuinely felt the like the last shows the band did in Mexico in February were their best shows.
