I will see Phish at the Gorge in 2020. I will see Phish at the Gorge in 2020. I will see Phish at the Gorge in 2020. I will see Phish at the Gorge in 2020.
a360 is the worst venue ive ever been to. it would be cool if they came to TX where there are multiple places that big that don't suck ass
lakewood in ATL sucks if you are on the lawn. however the lot is like fuckin mad max. there is like one cop and he does nothing while kids run around with hissing tanks and santa bags filled with pressed pills slung over their backs.
well, tbf the only time i went was for mumford so the parking lot was a little more faux Bohemian than whippet city.

just a reminder that those dates are rumored and just pulled from reddit which was probably pulled from PT.
a lot of times these lists are based on one or two scoops then a tour is inferred from those dates. there is almost always some truth in the rumors once dates are official but nothing is for sure until it's on phish.com.

I had heard a few weeks ago from someone who couldn't give me explicit details that there was an event happening in the Philly area Aug 14-16, and that it would be more of a celebration than a fest, with likely no camping. I had been thinking AC was possible based on this, so I think the new details pretty much confirm it's happening. Kind of bummed it won't be a true Phish fest, but it will still be a blast.
Looking forward to (Eric Prdyz HOLO 12/27) 12/28 and 12/31! This will be my first Phish NYE
I really enjoyed the Providence run. I thought the playing was solid, but not spectacular which still makes for an awesome Phish show. I was also staying with about 8 friends so we had a blast all weekend. The drive home on the other hand was no bueno due to some horrible weather. I felt the Harry Hood N2 was easily the best track from the Providence run.
I also really lucked out and the night of the Met show around 5:30pm I found out my wife and I would be able to attend. The vibe at the show really was amazing. The concentration of people smiling and dancing was surreal. In terms of music, the 2001 was frankly one of the best songs I've ever seen them play, and I highly recommend checking it out [the Sirius mix of the show was pretty poor compared to the live sound though].

wow that will be a fun few days you have lined up there!
if phish was a religion NYE would be it's highest holiest day. you will have a blast. three sets plus guaranteed hijinx at midnight. phish is so comfortable there. and no venue in the world knows phish and phish fans better than NYE. walking into those last three bakers dozen shows every staff member had a big grin on their face and were laughing and giving high fives to everyone. it's like even if they aren't fans they all "get it" to some extent. at the same time they know us enough to not put up with any wook nonsense. a few times i watched interactions between staff and fans where the fan is obviously pleading their case of "i need to get in this area because of xyz" and staff is unflappable and isn't having any of it lol.
another thing i love about phish at msg is you are in there and it feels like you are in the most important place in the world, then when you leave the venue you walk out into the midtown air and the city just eats the fans. always makes me feel small and unimportant in that good zen kind of way.
phish at MSG is like a big warm hug, or a fresh pizza. just all good things.

Went last night and they were great. But boy have the Phish from Vermont found another level tonight, they are absolutely killing it. Really hope they keep this going tomorrow night.

Last night was really great, very happy to finally make it to a New Year’s show. I had tickets in 2016 but had to sell them since I was recovering from a concussion. Was very pleased to finally secure tickets this year with winning the PTBM draw.
We were in 211 row 7 which was perfect view & sound and we were even on the aisle which is always a nice bonus. Everybody around us was super nice, even the 2 ushers were dancing around by the end.
Only minor annoyance was the woman sitting in front of us. The woman next to me lost her necklace. So her husband, me and my girlfriend were trying to find it during Light, and the woman in front of us just turned around and yelled at us for talking. We tried telling her what happened, and maybe it had fallen into their row, but she wasn’t having any of it. We found the necklace, and the upset woman left after Auld Lang Syne. What can you do.
Besides that small hiccup, the show was really great. Halley’s Comet, and Maze>Fluffhead>Rise/Come Together were the first set highlights. Oh and Axilla is always fun. Second set also started off really strong, into a great Wolfman’s Brother. I wish they stayed on Mercury a bit longer, it felt like it was going somewhere interesting and they bailed out too early. Strong Possum to close though had everyone excited.
When the second set ended relatively early and they started moving everything off the stage, everyone around me was buzzing. It felt like waiting for Christmas morning, everyone just wanted to see what we were going to get.
The start of the third set was perfect. The payoff of the pan story, send in the clones, all the dancers. Everything was so much fun and going into First Tube was a perfect amount of high energy.
Then of course Trey getting stuck was hilarious. It took a little bit for us to realize that something went wrong. But his platform wasn’t perfectly even and he played from his knees a lot. But man, is there anything more perfect than something going wrong during the gag?
But the rest of the third set was still great and the expected YEM closer and Tweeprise “Encore” was a perfect end. And then the rescue squad coming for Trey was just the cherry on top of a great night.
All in all it was a great night and a great atmosphere. We had a blast. Hopefully we are able to score tickets again.

Ok. So here goes a casuals review of Phish NYE. Disclaimer: I truly do not know the names to many Phish songs.
First off, the fans. Oh, Phans. I want every concert I go to to be filled with most of you. Except the girls that were sitting next to me. You two were awful, but I still hope you had a good time. Clearly the MSG staff loves you all too. The guy I got my beer from told me to be back quicker than Lawn Boy. Our friends went to another stand where a staff member was handing out really awesome stickers that they had made. It's a great little community you've cultivated.
Set 1 was a little rough for me until I realized that it was because I was hot and not just dying. I took my flannel off, went to the bathroom during the song about Prince Caspian (that's probably what it's called, huh?) and was immediately better. Overall, i enjoyed set 1 very much. I had an "oh I fucking get it now" moment. It was towards the end of the set.
Set 2 was my favorite. That set fucked.
Set 3. Oh boy. We went on a real roller coaster of emotions here. Send Out the Clones was great. Everyone saw the platforms come down, then the clones and their platforms came out while the band was getting raised up. It was a ton of fun. Until Trey got stuck. Then his platform dropped a couple inches. And everyone thought we were going to watch a man die/get very very hurt. It was tense for a few minutes. Props to everyone for just carrying on after that. Props to the rescue squad. The rest of the set was great and i'll probably enjoy it a lot more after I listen to it again but we kinda just couldn't get the fact that maybe Trey wasn't safe up there out of our minds.
I have one negative thing. Leaving MSG and walking into the nitrous mafia was fucking terrible. We just grabbed onto each other and pushed to the road as fast as we could. That scene was a real buzzkill.
Overall: 10/10. Would go again. I had a big dopey smile on my face all night. It was a wildly fun night.

this all sounds wonderful! except for the fear for Trey part.
like i was saying last week or whenever, i don't think any venue knows a band better and vice versa than Phish and MSG. walking in those last three nights of the Bakers Dozen it really felt like the venue staff were all just phans as well, like we'd all been through this thing together.
agree on the nitrous mafia. it's terrible and i wish everyone would stop buying nitrous so they would stop showing up.
yes that song is called Prince Caspian. typically it's a good one to go to the bathroom during but there are also exceptions (tweezer > prince caspian > tweezer @ magnaball).
tweezer reprise is the best song to close a show and one of my favorite songs of all time.
anyway i'm just tickled you had such a nice time. hope to see you at another show somewhere down the road.

I already told my boyfriend after SPAC that I would do their festival if/when they do another.
I definitely understand why people follow them around and just fall in love with this band now. It’s a real treat to see 4 goofball best friends get to do the thing they very clearly all love doing together.
Also, listened to the whole show again this morning. Apparently I time traveled because there are songs that I swore were in set 2 but were actually set 1. So that was fun. Set 3 was a lot better without the anxiety for Trey and I could hear the choir a lot better than I could inside. Those performers were unreal and id like to see a video of them from overhead.
