It’s happening: Phish returns to NYC for a four-night run at The Garden beginning on Wednesday, December 29th through Saturday, January 1st.
A ticket request period is now underway at tickets.phish.com (ending Monday, October 4th at noon ET). Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, October 8th at noon ET at ticketmaster.com. A limited number of travel packages (hotel and tickets) will go on sale Thursday, October 7th at noon ET here.
Please note: All ticket holders 12 and older must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Children 11 and under must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to when doors open for each show. For everyone’s safety, please wear a mask at Phish shows.
Is "The Garden" MSG? Weird they wouldn't just call it that
i think it's fairly common to call MSG the garden?
informally yeah, but to have an official announcement without ever calling it by its full name seems strange to me. Like they're avoiding some sort of licensing fees to use the full name, idk

I think it's just a common shorthand for fans to say "The Garden" for MSG or "The Bowl" for Hollywood Bowl that the band probably adopted at some point.
Post Ima check that Carini after work from your Dicks run. We are gonna try for lotto for Saturday and maybe Friday. It’s not a feasible trip but we are itching for a Phish show. Trey Band has us itching to be back.

Whats it like trying to get a hotel for this? Obviously I'd be coming from quite a ways away and never been to New York either, but I would love to make this happen.

expensive. my last MSG run we crammed 4 guys into a hampton inn room. walking distance to MSG but the rooms are $300/night.
maybe someone somewhere on the internet has some money saving strategies but it's NYC on NYE, i think one way or another it's gunna be pricey.

Right on. Figured it'd be pricey either way. I assume availability is a bit of a problem too. Guess I'll start looking and see what kind of trouble I can get myself into lol
We put in for Saturday. Lol we did ga floor only. We live in Charlotte and it’ll be a pricey trip so if we get these thangs it’ll have been meant to be. Hoping that’s the case y’all. Best of luck to us all.

Word is the 4 day passes are not able to be separated. Doesn't sound like anybody here is putting in for a 4 day but don't put in for a 4 day unless you plan on going all 4 days.

the TAB tour has been having covid issues. first hartswick tested positive so we lost the horns, then Russ Lawton (drummer). But Fishman took Lawton's place for the Pittsburgh last night and this was the result:

Has anyone gone to any phish shows or concerts in general yet? I haven’t yet and part of me feels like the not New Years tickets aren’t going to be hard to come by.
But I’m basing this entirely on the fact that a couple weeks ago I was looking at MMJ/Brittany Howard tickets at Forest Hills like a week before the show and there were tons of tickets, which surprised me. Also yankee tickets for the wild card game are available right now, which also is highly unusual.
Obviously this is very unrelated anecdotal evidence but just wondering what people are thinking, even with the vaccine requirement in place.

i went to the first four and last three shows of summer. of those the alpharetta tickets were pretty tough, but it's a small venue and was the first weekend shows of the tour.
dicks (bigger venue) tickets really seemed like they were going to be tough, but there were plenty of tickets for sale in the lot.
honestly all in all the demand this summer felt pretty similar to pre-covid tours. smaller venues hard, bigger venues not as hard.
so my speculation: MSG NYE will sell out in one second like it always does, after that it'll be a tough but not impossible ticket. 29/30 probably won't be too hard, Jan 1 maybe a little harder since it's a saturday.

Unfortunately it varies. Sometimes it's the day after the lotto closes, sometimes it's late in the evening on the last day they said you'd receive notification.
