Has Bob Saget always been on the lineup and I've just not seen or heard it or are they adding things to the lineup under the radar? Hm - Eric Andre too, looks like they're adding comedians!
Eric Andre!?!?!?!? That's awesome. His late night show is hilarious.
Saget is a big add. He's got to be the comedy tent top name. Good find.
I'm weird when it comes to comedy I find truly brilliant. Sure I laugh at a lot of stuff, but every now and again there is comedy that is inspirational, that makes me all tingly and excited. The Eric Andre show is a recent example. It's simply outstanding. I actually think I first saw it in the cinema tent last year. Other examples off the top of my head are Bill Hicks, Louis CK, Upright Citizens Brigade.
If we have Eric, do we get Hannibal to?! Hannibal is the man.

I dont know the National at all. I tried to get into them last year, and Im trying now with youtube and itunes samples. Why do their songs and shows seem so boring to me? Am I missing something, or is this relationship just not gonna work? Anyone else feel this way? Lovers dont get mad, im not hating.

(in reality though I don't think they are a band for everyone, and I do believe you have to be in the right mood for them. I love his lyrics and I'm a huge fan of their drummer. I just think he plays super creatively, but hell, one less conflict for ya!!)

I agree. I also feel the same way about Wilco but I'm just not really into bands like that. I do like Local Natives though but I am not to sure that they are similar. I just kinda like to get hype at a live show but I'm sure there will be times that I'll want to sit in the grass and listen to some great slow music but I'm not to particular on who it'll be (I'll see McCartney from the grass).

Ya Im feelin the same with Wilco, and trying like hell to get with Local Natives. 3 months to go! So far for me its- the top 4, lumineers, billy idol, sheepdogs, ed sharp, of monsters, zz top, vaccines, yoakam, jim james, portugal, gov mule, superjam, tame impala. Plus im sure a couple adds will work for me, and a couple Sonics. Im happy, anything else is cherrys on top!

Totally respect your choices but my preferences are completely different apart from Of Monsters and Men. Mine are: Mumford and Sons, Macklemore, Pretty Lights, Twenty One Pilots, Paper Diamond, Porter Robinson, Of Monsters, Kendrick Lamar, ASAP, Matt and Kim, Araabmusik, Walk The Moon, Local Natives, Passion Pit, A-Trak but we are really getting to the point where the schedule will dictate who I see.
EDIT: I forgot about the Ed Helms Superjam, definitely want to see that as well.

If Walk the moon isnt thur im there. Mumford yes! Passion Pit, im discovering and liking. Bluegrass jam would be awesome but im expecting a schedule issue. Exactly what you say, the sched will dictate. Im hoping to have 8-10 per day on paper, and when the smoke clears 5-6 is great with me.

They are one of my absolute favorite bands, but if you can't get into them, you can't get into them. Don't sweat it.

Anyone having trouble getting into Wilco should listen to their two live albums "Kicking Television" and "Ashes of American Flags". If those aren't working for you then you may just not be into them. I've had trouble getting into certain acts everyone boasts about in the past no matter how much I've listened.

I may try this, I've never been able to get excited about Wilco. Though I might wait to see whether or not they'll become a conflict, if i were to start enjoying them.

I'm the same boat and the great thing about Roo is there will be someone else for us to go see while they play
REPTAR anyone? I'm hooked!! Obviously on a different level, but I get a little bit of a Talking Heads from them. "Houseboat Babies" is a good track to start with.

Saw them with Rubblebucket earlier this year and absolutely loved their live show.
They joined Rubblebucket during the encore and it turned into an all out Hootenanny in the middle of the crowd.

You were absolutely right about this. Tried like hell to get into Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A.M and couldn't, but am really enjoying "Kicking Television." Thanks for the recommendation.

When High Violet came out I figured it was high time for me to give The National a try. When I gave it a listen I didn't like it at all and was really confused what all the hype was about.
Earlier this year I listened to Boxer and really enjoyed it. After I got into that it made High Violet easier to listen to. It's neither here nor there whether you like a band or not but what I'm trying to say is these kind of things take time so if you don't like The National (or any other band) just come back in six months or a year and try again. It might work out in your favor.
Also when I first listened to High Violet I was super fucking depressed so I probably wasn't in the right state of mind to listen to a melancholy album like that. Are you two sad? I hope you're not sad.
Artists just announced? ATRICK WATSON •JARED LOGAN •NICKI BLUHM & THE GRAMBLERS •THE STEPKIDS •AOIFE O'DONOVAN •BOMBINO •JERROD CARMICHAEL BERNHOFT •MATTHEW E. WHITE •CRISTELA ALONZO
I'm pretty sure that they've always been at the bottom at the lineup. I know Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers , Aiofe O'Donovan, Bernhoft & Matthew E White were at minimum. Bernhoft was even part of the lineup "telethon" with the woman who promised her kid that she'd shave her head if he was booked.

Always there.
•JARED LOGAN •JERROD CARMICHAEL •CRISTELA ALONZO
Comedy Acts.
To start a different topic, am I the only one who gets surprised by certain bands whenever they look at the line-up? For some reason, I keep forgetting that Wilco is on the line-up and am surprised whenever I see them on there.

I keep forgetting Wu Tang Clan will be there, even though they're an act i'm excited for.

It's not just you. I keep forgetting Cat Power for some reason.
friday night it was beasties on what 8:30 to 10 David Byrne which 8:45 to 10:45. Phish on what 11-2 and Phoenix started in that tent at 11:30, Public Enemy started this tent at 12:30 and Femi Kuti started the other tent at 12.
my point is that phish was only unopposed for thirty minutes. maybe mumford doesn't run wholly unopposed either, or is that just the way friday nights go?
