That's 15! BUT I'm absolutely down to keep the list going everyone So if you want to jump on this volunteer boat o' fun for DREAMVILLE let me know!
I had a friend bring up a couple good points also - We may have to pay a deposit. So with that in mind, be prepared to have to pay that $390 or whatever, and then to get it back. Silver lining: What I am hoping volunteering does for us, is at least not tie us down to the ticket onsale date. For example, if we are approved as a group to volunteer, that secures our spots without having to scramble to buy tickets (scrounge up $400) on april 29.
Secondly, remember that as volunteers, we are likely going to be asked to help with set-up, which means we will likely be asked to arrive on Wednesday or even Tuesday or even MONDAY prior to the fest. Because Dreamville opens up THURSDAY at 10am, we will certainly be needed for pre-fest set up of the camps. The plus side of that is if we are only required to help with pre-fest, we are FREE for the entirety of the festival! (Just call me Miss Silver Lining, people.)
Finally, I emailed the volunteer email on the DREAMVILLE site, and I got the auto response back: "Thank you for your interest in volunteering for DreamVille USA!
Your information has been received, we will respond to you in a timely manner.

I think it's okay to be past 15 people. I'll know more when I get the info back from the DV Group. nicthedick85, consider yourself in our group!
IF we are only allowed a group of 15, those first 15 who spoke up will get preference on the Mayo team, but I'll be happy to help coordinate a second group of 15 if we get that many people! Something else to consider, if we get 25 people, then we can apply for the actual TW volunteering.

will we get to see more of the festival as a dreamville or TW volunteer?
I imagine that if we get pre-fest set up or post-fest tear down with DV, we will get the entire festival "off." If we get TW spots, we'll likely have to work during festival times, so there is potential to miss artists. All of this is puuuuuure speculation btw. BAsed on my knowledge of how the Counterpoint volunteer system worked last year (ask Dougie) and how Roo generally sets up their vol spots.

You guys I'm pretty pumped.
mayo......I pretty new to this site, but I am very interested in joining your group of volunteers if you can have more than 15. I'm volunteering this year at Bonnaroo and Tommorowland sounds FANTASTIC! Seems like the volunteering process is similar to Bonnaroo, free tix (with deposit to be refunded later) in exchange for working a few hours during the fest. When you get info on whether you are able to exceed 15, will you let me know? Thank you.

In a conference at work but I will explain some of what I found out last night...group just have to be 15+, but the process won't take place until after the tickets go on sale. The only way to guarantee attendance is to buy a ticket. I'm trying to find out if ALL groups will be accepted or if there will be selection process. With all other festivals, it's first come first serve until they had all the vols they need, but the "group" thing is new to me.

Since they say "case-by-case basis" Im thinking that not all groups will be selected. Which is why I shot in an email this morning so we can at least have a "place-holder" request as a group, if they go with first come first serve. If Counterpoint is running DV and Counterpoint has anything to do with the selection process - we may have an IN since Dougie was a volunteer there last year, and I've had some correspondence with them regarding the fest last year. Dougie, where did you find out about the process selection times?

I emailed them too. I had questions about the process that would have helped us make decisions. All they said was process would happen after tickets go on sale. Ill reach out to WET, they did counterpoints volunteer program, see if they're involved.

I've never posted here before and feel kinda bad for my first post to be looking for a free-ride on something. I would really like to attend this event, but can't justify the ticket price in the budget. If you would have me, I would love to volunteer! I do believe in contributing to the things that you enjoy.
Did anyone take up Mr.BelgianAmbers on his ticket bet? I only ask because if so, they're probably giggling like a schoolgirl over Daft Punk's announcement that they have no plans to play any shows in 2013.
Hey everyone - so I wanted to volunteer to get past that $400 ticket - and TomorrowWorld is only taking applicants in groups of 25. BUT DREAMVILLE is taking them in groups of 15!
CAN I WORK AT DREAMVILLE AS A VOLUNTEER?
At this time, DreamVille will not be accepting individual volunteers. However, DreamVille will take group volunteering on a case by case basis, if you have a group of 15 or more people who want to be involved in TomorrowWorld or DreamVille please contact us at volunteers@dreamville-us.com
Is there anyone interested in going, that doesn't want to pay the $400, but would like to work a couple shifts with MAYO in DREAMVILLE??? If I can get a group of us together, then I'll be our spokesperson and apply etc. I can only imagine that they'd also allow us to camp together as a group, and maybe even shift us together so we'd all be "free" at the same time... let me know if anyone is in. Im only entertaining this bc my other 2 options are still in limbo - and if we don't have 15, then we aren't doing it.

I really hope that they accept our volunteering request!
Anyway, thinking about this festival, their main competition I guess would be Ultra here in the US. To differentiate themselves from Ultra, and to justify the higher ticket prices, who could they book that would really make people stop and take notice? Ultra had a real coup getting the final Swedish House Mafia show to help bolster ticket sales. The only act that comes to mind right now that TomorrowWorld could book to top Ultra would obviosuly be Daft Punk. I know they said "as of right now" they had no plans to tour but you have to think this fest would do anything to land that show!
That is a big part of what drew me into looking at all the big music festivals, believe it or not! Daft Punk has been known to show up at places unexpectedly, and this would be a good fit.
Even if it isn't this year, there is always next year right? It's always cool to get in at the beginning of something and watch it grow.

They'd show up at a huge festival and play a set for high fives and hugs?
No new news. WET hasn't responded either. For everyone that has replied saying that they would like to volunteer, what is your plan for the fest if we Don't get selected? Are you just not going to go, or are you going to buy tickets and sell them if we get picked? I'm struggling here because I really want to go either way, but am worried about being able to unload the ticket if we go volunteer...(I'd be buying two single day tix, sat and sun)
