The best would be if they show it in the cinema tent and have him there for a round-table, and after that he can lead a masterclass in creating abysmal hip-hop operas.

Yes, this is really happening.
Is he too big to play a LN tent? I would have said no pre-lineup drop but the fact that he is in the top 10 makes me think otherwise. He won't get a LN which but I can't see him not playing at night... what do you guys think? Which closer maybe?

If by abysmal hip-hop operas you mean one of the best things ever.
His time slot better be long enough for all 33 chapters of Trapped in the Closet.
I probably won't have a lot in agreement, but I would hope for Trapped In The Closet not to be in the setlist. Leaves room for so many other good jams. I don't know. I'll have to take a look around the web and see what an R. Kelly setlist looks like.

I didn't realize he was big enough to be billed #7. But I don't think he'll be a pre-HL. Maybe since I'm not a fan I'm underestimating his popularity/draw.
im thinkin this is most likely going to be a pre-headline on saturday. i think hes too big for a tent, and we have our late night stage acts(Bjork and Pretty Lights). Which closer is possible, but im guessing pre-headliner.
Can we start a petition for his encore to be Ignition Remix and Bump n Grind to make sure that I don't miss anything? I don't want to see a full set, yet I can't miss those two.

"The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has recognized R. Kelly as one of the best-selling music artists in the United States with 38.5 million albums sold as well as only the fifth black artist to crack the top 50 of the same list.[2] In March 2011, R. Kelly was named the most successful R&B artist of the last 25 years by Billboard.[3][4][5] Kelly has released 10 studio albums, sold 38.5 million albums in the U.S., 15 million singles, and over 54 million albums worldwide making him the most successful R&B male artist of 1990s.[6][7][8][9]"
R. Kelly is the very top tier of contemporary R&B, and if the festival were R&B oriented, he would certainly be a headliner. As it is, Bonnaroo is blessed as usual to be able to attract the very best and biggest names from a broad variety of genres to supplement its standard rock&roll fare. Very excited to have R. Kelly there.
As far as Trapped in the Closet goes, it would be a waste of time during his set, but I would definitely drop by the cinema tent if they were playing it, depending on what time of day. And I don't normally go by the Cinema Tent. It just makes more sense to air it there, though, than to spend an entire set singing through a movie musical that honestly probably doesn't really translate into a live solo set very well.

BOXXX Stage Water Show like that Cirque Du Soleil with Mermaids "O" we can talk about the art but the controversy? Ladies please do not try and be a groupie for him even the 2 21 year old's in an RV have more respect then to pee on you. Hell last night at work I made innane comments about R.Kelly and pee all night to pass the time. he is my straw man and I will beat him. I just want to be whacked out in the cornfield during "Ignition/I Believe I Can Fly" encore with tears rolling down my eyes that is the true test of sanity during an insane time such as Bonnaroo. I will be back in this thread bunches from here on out much love peeps I hearby designate this my "fun thread" for the year and would have been much more happy with Usher now that is a true ladies man that takes after Lono! A half-ass pimp will only have second stringers is what that Sy dude taught me watching "Duck Commander" I am pretty sure if I asked the Lizard Lick crew they would say the same thing.

Was talking to a friend of mine today I was trying to convince to come. Guy I work with who has only been to one concert in his life (Lenny Kravitz no shit!!) and when he was reading through the head liners he said "Oh, and R Kelly, I want to see him!". So, if he goes, should be interesting.
He is on a stage and it's PACKED with people saying things like, "Oh man, this is going to be hilarious." and "I wonder if he's going to do Trapped In The Closet?" and "I'm gonna pee on you, DRIP DRIP DRIP."
Then, R. Kelly comes on stage.
5 songs in and that place will be going crazy.
It has the potential to be one of the most fun shows of the weekend.
