Also, when I saw four tet less than a year I'd say his set was 80-85% house and trance influenced stuff. More so like his last few albums than first few. Definitely LN stuff.

I need House/Trance stuff in my life this year at Roo LN..... Please
This show was awesome but the crowd was super disappointing. Most people around me a few rows from rail were all just there waiting for Matt and Kim, and at one point the kid in front of me asked if there was going to be any drops.
Couldn't convince any of my campmates to join me for this show and went solo. Definitely one of my favorite sets of the weekend despite the crowd. Danced my ass off.
Don't get me wrong, I had a great time, and I went nuts, because four tet is one of my favorite producers, but it just bummed me out that everyone around me as close as I was seemed bored as sh*t.
I did meet him outside of the Funk Superjam tent though! Super exciting.

This was one of my favorite sets of the weekend. Loved the small crowd too, I was able to see and had plenty of room to dance. He seriously killed it though, making it a point to see this dude in a club type venue at some point hopefully.

Love Four Tet and I enjoyed his set but I just didn't think it worked that well in a festival setting/day time. I will definitely be seeing him again in some sort of smaller club or more intimate setting. Really wish this would have been a LN
I enjoy his work, but this set on the ustream looked boring! People were not moving, just standing. I took a nap during this. Clearly should have been a night set.

Loved the end of this set that I caught after leaving the insanely packed This Tent for Tallest Man On Earth, who was putting on a killer show. The crowd was definitely moving towards the back of Other where I was at. With all the tough decisions to make for late nights this year I was kind of glad he ended up with the time slot he did.
Got down at this set. Yeah, the crowd wasn't moving much, but they were definitely into it. From where I was (to the left of the soundboard), I saw hardly anyone leave the entire time and he got rapturous applause after each song. I thought maybe a large part of the crowd was camping for Matt & Kim, but a lot of them left after the show while the Matt & Kim crowd worked their way in.
I also think the the lack of dancing may have been from the fact that his set was at four in the afternoon. I feel like most people kind of took it easy during the day (maybe recovering from the night before), but once the sun went down, it was impossible to find a set where people weren't dancing.

I agree with you about people taking it easy. We were on a blanket at the back of The Other Tent just barely in the shade we were lucky to have grabbed. I danced a good bit, but I also just chilled at times because I try to conserve energy during the day.
Four Tet was a great show, but I really wished it would have been late night. Something like what Flying Lotus got last year.
I came in thinking I was mostly there for a good Matt and Kim spot. Holy god was this fun. I had so much room to dance and I didn't care that no one else near me was doing the same. I was completely sober but got locked in this trance that put me on a total high as I was shaking my head around and feeling it. I saw him at Moogfest 2010 and didn't get all that into it but this was good stuff. One of the best surprises of the weekend for me. The daylight aspect didn't even affect my enjoyment. Does he normally even have much in terms of visuals?
From all the live videos I've seen it seems like his stage show is pretty much just generic stage lighting. So I don't think the daytime really mattered.
That's the best part about his music, imo. You don't need anything extra to just groove to it, it works just as well in the afternoon or late at night.
