By stating that you "didn't have [your] hipster certification back then," are you implying that you have "hipster certification" now?
For the record, my comment was more a joke about how pretty much everyone who professes an enjoyment for OAR notes that they listened to OAR a lot in high school or college. It's just weird.
Getting off topic here, but how on Earth did the Black Keys have a "sh*tty spot" the "first year?" (I assume you mean 2010?) They were f*cking late night.

I love Reggie and I really am all about awkward/oddball humor, but I saw one of his sets in the Comedy Tent last year and it was not funny at all. It was pretty awkward because nobody in the tent was really laughing at all while he mumbled incoherently on the stage for 20 or 30 minutes. Like I said, I'm all about odd humor and I'm familiar with Watts' schtick, but you couldn't even understand what he was saying, let alone whether or not what he was saying were jokes (in the loose sense of the word).
mumford and black keys were there two years in a row touring the same show. for good reason... they got a shizzy spot the first year and came back with a primo spot because they fit roo well, blew up, and now more people will be able to appreciate it.
Just to clear up the confusion, since its been brought up again - pootman says here two years in a row, so I believe Jugs was accurate in his reference to 2010's set.
I loved the Shakes set last year but I believe they made their mark at Roo and would probably be better off returning in 2014 with another album of material

I saw him one year but can't remember if it was last year. I agree there was a show of his I saw that was not very good and I was underwhelmed by the length of time he played. I have seen better shows but I may have been at the one you attended too. I remember walking out and liking the other guys who I didn't know ahead of time more.
Still, i'd give him another chance if I had no music going on at the time.

They really should give him a true tent and ask him to do an electronic set with his tools. I'm sure you could loop in some comedy; but the Comedy Tent feels so separate then the rest of Centeroo - a little disconnected to all the fun and flavor of Bonnaroo. IMO
it was the black keys up against flaming lips/ bassnectar in 2010 that's why they got a shizzy spot. the next yearin 2011 they were pretty much completely unopposed on the main stage for half their set.. idk why there's so much confusion about that lol

Loved his set during Beach Boys last year, and what I caught of Last Starfighter. Fingers crossed for another live soundtrack!
Aesop Rock has June open, don't remember him being mentioned. I know we already have a fair amount of hip hop, but t'would still be nice.

violent femmes aren't making any decisions about future shows until after they see how coachella goes. they are notorious for hating each other off stage.
ra ra riot would have been great if they still had a bangin' hot cello player. their recent songs i've heard were less than good.
I could absolutely get behind Goat as an addition. They're in the states through mid-May, and no dates following. Seeing them in DC, but I think they'd win a LOT of people over at the farm.

I was hoping for this as well, but they are playing Primavera in Spain in late May, then have dates in Europe later in the summer. But who knows?
All I really want is for the Alabama Shakes to get added, but it would be cool to see Les Claypool's Duo de Twang. Also from a genre perspective I def think the festival needs at least 1 more jam band (something like Umphrees or MOE would be my preference), and it needs at least 1 reggae act.
(Kinda Realistic?) Captain Murphy Robert Glasper Experiment Chris Dave & the Drumhedz D'Angelo
(Very Unrealistic) Prince
I go back and forth on how realistic the Captain would be. Earl Sweatshirt is on the mixtape, and it would be easy to do a one off since he doesn't have a big stage set-up. On the other hand, he is touring as Flying Lotus again, so he may be done with Captain Murphy for right now.

True, but he just performed as the cpt at sxsw a couple of days ago. And the last show on the tour he just announced is 5/25 so, who knows...

I would like him there. I just like to temper my hopes and dreams, so I don't get too sad if it doesn't happen.
