Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Dawes was also ruled out in the Artist Direct Confirmation thread. FWIW, none of the artists who were ruled out this year ended up on the initial lineup.
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)
"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"
So, I was on Bonnaroo's Facebook and in the section where it says bands that they like I see Dave Grohl listed with other artist that are playing Bonnaroo. The bands that show on are ones you haven't personally liked. When I liked Grohl's page, I went back to the Bonnaroo page and clicked on "see all" above all the likes. The list contained bands that I have liked in the past including Bonnaroo artists who played prior years. In that list was Dave Grohl after I liked them. Either the promoters are screwing with us or we are getting Dave Grohl in some fashion.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
I'm not hoping for/counting on/expecting a Grohl add, but with all this Roo hype about collaborations lately, maybe we could see them add Dave Grohl as a roving sit-in guy? He has history with two of the three headliners and if they're looking for an OOMPH add that would sell tickets to people who would otherwise be fence-sitters, this would be the way to do it.
I could also see Grohl as an un-announced surprise appearance to drub up some secondary publicity for his movie. The promo push will surely be slowing down come June, and you KNOW he wants to stay in the headlines to get that Oscar nom.
Having said that, I'm sure none of this will happen.
Haha not even an Andrew WK fan but is that guy perfect for Roo or what
Has anyone seen Andrew WK live though? I saw him at Riot Fest last year and it was terrible. Walked away after a song and a half to see a random side stage band that I figured HAD to be better. Trust me...you get tired of the nonstop "party music" really quick.
