In 2010 the additions came later in the day, I think the Conan one was around 2pm EST and I think the Electronic stage announcement came even a little later in the day than that.
Both promoters put out either additions or the actual line-up for their respected festivals today.(Forecastle and Googa Mooga) I mean it is possible to see something this week, but I am think next week after Easter would be the target.
Why would they do additions for a festival in July before the additions for a festival in June? Wouldn't you rather sell tickets to the festival that starts 29 days earlier? Bonnaroo is more expensive and would be drawing from the same pool of potential festival goers as forecastle.
Thinking about it now maybe bonnaroo is selling ok and they need to draw some fans to forecastle who might go to bonnaroo after the additions drop. That would be the only reason to announce a later festivals additions before an earlier festival's.
robert plant at forecastle? That's is a pretty big addition if you ask me. Maybe we can count on something about as big for bonnaroo. That would be great but I would hate to add another conflict. There are so many potential conflicts already!

Because out lineup is (probably) nearly complete in terms of stage acts, and they need to spread out announcements. Almost no way we're getting multiple rounds of announcements like last year. This biggest difference between this year and years past is how many acts we got on the initial lineup drop. Last year we got 84 musicians on the initial lineup, Kvelertak leaving made it 83. This year we had 104, though Gaslight Anthem dropped and made it 103. I know we're all excited at the possibility of additions, but this is a basically a complete lineup when you figure that we only had 11(?) additions last year.

Well at least we get more time for the I think we're getting prince thread! And the daft punk thread! And the million other artists who won't be added but it sure would be cool if they were thread! I like thinking we will get one or two more big names until i know differently.
So, I was looking at Yeah Yeah Yeahs tour dates, saw they had Manchester listed, and got an immediate chub... only to realize it was Manchester, England. Frick.

So not that this means anything, but if you take the artists pages and replace the name listed with "daft-punk" it changes to "yeah-yeah-yeahs". This doesn't happen when you do that with any other band.

"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"
