I have some friends interested in this, but I can't really justify driving up from NC. Plus it would probably be my only summer festival. If you can't get the early cheap tickets, its hard to see the value. It does look like a good time, though.

I was at the festival last year and I already got my ticket for this year. It's a good festival (albeit had some of the standard 'new' festival kinks) and had a great crowd. there was a nice blend of national, regional, and local acts and everything was relatively easy to get to, only things that sucked were the over priced food and drinks from the venue and the hill you have to walk to get between the main and side stage (that's just me being lazy though, and if you're camping those complaints don't really matter). I live in the area and I didn't run into one traffic issue coming or going each day, which was nice, and the people running the event seem generally invested in trying to make a great event that's gonna last. If you can I say come to the event while its still relatively little known about, still a great vibe and its really easy to get close to the stage.
There's a couple hotels right on the mountain and more in the area, I'm assuming they will have shuttles from the ones that are right there. Any other camping area outside of the festival is about 30-45 minutes away.
Went to this last year and had a great time. It helps that it is in my backyard so I can just stay at home for sleeping purposes. Got my ticket for this year and cant wait. If anyone needs info on the area, logistics, hotels, ect I will be happy to help point you to some options.
