Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I still plan on going to camp inforoo and set it up. There is no realistic way they will tow my car, I do not think us going to Access is a very good idea for a multitude of reasons. Not the least of which is that it is right by the cop station.
As far as brunch goes, why not just meet up at the camping spot closest to Centeroo or the camping spot in the middle of everyone?
1) Space. Brunch has a b*tt ton of people. Even the space staked out at Tent Only ends up being claustrophobic because of the amount of people. It would take a good amount of people car camping together to make room for it. 2) Communication. Not everyone gets online at Bonnaroo. If it was left it to where someone was car camping, they would have to post where they ended up being parked. If people didn't check the board, they would have no idea where to go. Text trees and running into people could help spread the word, but lurkers and people with low posts counts that have not met everyone in real life would get left out since nobody knows their numbers or their faces in many cases.
If a few folks can come together (Maybe three cars worth of folks minimum) and get a good spot, there should be room for plenty of folks. When you're parking just tell them what your doing. Give them a 20 if that's what it takes. Really, a first row or end spot is all that would be needed. I've gone with groups of 10 people that turned into 35 at times during the weekend with room for everyone. Can everyone access this board once they get there? IF so, it may work. But in the end, I don't think anything will be full by Thursday morning, including tent only, it sounds like big talk to me to detract from people complaining in case it does fill up.
The main reason for the three car minimum is so that everyone can set their shade tents or ex ups together in the middle spot for community.

Once again we are doing camp inforoo in the same place and we will still have brunch there. Also until you have done it giving directions to 300 people is harder than you think.

I have no issue where we have Brunch at. I trust Jess and if he thinks we can still get Camp Inforoo off and running, then lets do it there. The key is to have someone (or some people) meet at Matt's Tree eo lead people to the brunch. This sounds like the best, easiest way possible to find the brunch.

I have composed a letter. It will be mailed to Ashley Capps and whoever else I can find to mail it to.
"I attended my first Bonnaroo in 2009 with my then 18-year old daughter, and immediately felt as if I had found my home away from home. Upon returning, I was fortunate enough to discover the Inforoo.com message board; through Inforoo I have not only learned valuable information but have made friends from all over the world. It is truly a family. Each year a number of Inforoosters, as we affectionately call ourselves, camp together in the Tent Only area. On Friday morning of “Roo” each year we host the Inforoo Brunch in “Camp Inforoo”. We eat, drink and celebrate our being a family. We also welcome visitors; last year we were honored to have the guys from Art vs. Science come and spend time with us. Inforoosters are some of the most loyal Bonnaroo fans. We share survival tips and important information on the board. We are bound by a deep love for each other, music, and the entire Bonnaroo community. I cannot adequately express my dismay at the new Tent Only policy. The policy as it is written will effectively kill our Brunch, which has become a tradition. Since we hail from many different locations and do not all arrive together, we have held our Brunch each year in the Camp Inforoo section of Tent Only. The “Groop” camping is not a viable option for us for many reasons. There are several members of our core group who will fly in on Thursday morning and will shuttle in; since you anticipate the Tent Only section filling on Wednesday night, they are essentially being told that they may be excluded from Tent Only – after they have purchased Bonnaroo tickets, airline tickets, and planned their whole trips around being able to shuttle in and camp in Tent Only. The new policy was presented only two months before the festival, with most of us having already bought our tickets and many having made travel arrangements. This is a major change and it is very unfair to thrust this upon loyal fans on this short notice. Never mind that there does not seem to be any rationale presented as to why this policy is necessary. When we purchased tickets, we purchased them with a trust that we would be able to access and utilize Tent Only and have our Brunch as we have in the past. To suddenly have the rules changed and for no good reason breaches that trust. That is no way to treat some of your most loyal attendees. I realize that among the tens of thousands of attendees that you may feel our numbers are insignificant. Yet, keep in mind that our influence spreads a wide net in the festival community, and also that there are a number of other festivals that we can attend. We choose to attend Bonnaroo, but we could just as easily attend another festival and have a gathering there. I ask that you reconsider this policy in light of the hardship it places on people who have already made arrangements. I also ask that if the policy must be instituted, that we be given some rationale as to why, and that we be allowed to have a protected spot somewhere to have our Brunch and congregate. If our pleas are met with deaf ears, I can assure you that this will be the last Bonnaroo for many of us. Sincerely..."

We are not moving Brunch. Period, paragraph, sincerely.
IF Camp Inforoo does not exist at Bonnaroo this year we will come up with an alternative. This will be known by Wednesday night; since people can start walking in at 8:00 Camp will be established by 9:00. I am most likely going to skip my pre-Roo party to hike my happy ass in with a big tarp to hold space.

Just got a response from The McLovins. If they are one of the bands that win the Sonic Bids contest, they'll be joining us for brunch! You can vote once a day. Let's get them on the farm! bonnaroo.sonicbids.com/artist/mclovins/
I think the biggest thing we need to do differently this year is if you can go in when the gates open Wednesday, you should. Last year we were scattered and had people coming in at all different times. This year if you're in town and there's nothing holding you from going in, we need to all agree on a time and go in unified. The only potential downside to this is if we all get stuck in bonnajail.

I am going to address this in a pre roo e-mail for camp members, there is a way around it. That being said it looks like Bonnaroo is going to cooperate with us as much as possible so none of this may end up being a problem.
Like I've said before, I kind of feel like they're going to be lax with this new policy since it's a) the first year and b)they've already pissed so many people off. Let's not worry.
The focus should be on communicating the Camp Inforoo location to everyone on Wednesday night so that everyone can get there for Friday brunch. Near the edge would be preferable but I'm not really here to make requests.

Sorry I know it is inconvienant for brunch but the edge is dusty and cops walk by all weekend.

I assumed.
I feel like Camp Inforoo needs to go high-tech and ping out exact coordinates so that the rest of us can GPS it.
Is there any kind of phone tree set up to communicate location/changes? I know service is spotty, and people may not want to share their digits, but it may be a handy thing to have.
That way, one person (bunny) isn't getting a ton of texts with questions. If each person had 2-3 people they were in charge of texting, that would be brilliant.
Then bunny could send the initial text to a few people, and it would spread out. Could even double up so each person gets texted from two people in case of service problems or what have you.
If others think this is a good idea, I'd be happy to put it together. Send me a PM with your inforoo name, real name (at least first name and last initial), and phone number. I promise no drunken texts/calls
I was only half joking about the GPS coordinates...
The only sure fire solution I can think of is getting one of those giant balloons (Micheal's has them for $4) and float it above camp inforoo Friday morning. They're big, bright and should be easy to spot from afar.
