Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Do you think we can convince Empire of The Sun to come to brunch? We could explain that it's our tradition to invite the token Australian band to join us
We thought perhaps Alt-J would be a good choice too. Not Aussie but still a great accent
I know that the brunch is obviously open to anyone (esp if they bring good noms), but is it typical for relatively unknown Inforoo members to just stop by for a little bit, maybe grab a bite or do the small talk thing, and then leave? I know a lot of you all know each other personally from previous brunches and whatnot, and I don't want to be the only one who shows up without having previously spoken to or made a connection with anyone else there.

It is totally fine. Many a lurker or newer poster has come to Brunch. I know, for me, actually meeting people for the first time sparked a bigger interest in the community for me.

This will be my 4th Roo but my first Brunch so you wont be the only one who doesn't know anyone. I'm really looking forward to putting faces to the names.

Third Roo, and first brunch for me as well... I plan on dropping in with my travel companions at least for a minute! Look for the Hawaiian shirt! Can't wait to meet the real people behind this!

Been busy driving all over the US. When I left, I was thinking pralines for sweet and southern, or a soda stream and a boat load of water so I can have sparkling water (and some of those additives or we can just experiment ) for people to make mimosa's, or ..... hummmmm ... cr****
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I'm in! And for the other posters above who said it's your first brunch, it will be mine as well, if you will have me :b It's also my first roo, so I guess I'm a super noob lol. I can bring whatever, alcohol and/or grubbage, just let me know
Adorn me in feathers from dead birds;;
I feel summer creeping in and I'm tired of this town again;;
You are surrounding all my surroundings, twisting the kaleidoscope behind both of my eyes.

OK folks I'm gonna bring a ground green olive and spiced cherry pepper spread served with hopefully toasted ciabatta bread squares. It should pair reallt well with the Bloody Marys and/or cheap beer. I haven't quite figured out how to toast something and keep it crispy/crunchy for 2 days. If anyone has a suggestion I'm all ears. Maybe we should start an Infroo Brunch Recipes Thread! BUT that's not really my question.
I know it's a bit soon to start preparing but how many people actually EAT at brunch? I'm trying to figure out the volume of ingredients I should get. I'd planned on canning at least 10 1/2 pint jars that I was gonna set aside for anyone who wanted to bring the stuff home first come first served. Is that too much? To little? As far as the non-canned stuff I was thinking a quart (4 cups). Too much? Bring more?
I need some help here. I've never contributed to a brunch, let alone one that I gave a crap about as much as this one. I want to do this right. HALP!

There's a good chunk of folks that grub out at Brunch. It's not the amount of anythin' you bring; it's the thought that counts!

I can appreciate that. I'm still anxious about it though. I want to make sure I've given it the proper amount of thought!

We were shy on tables and chairs last year as it is just what those camping in the area can put out for the morning. So, bring your chair along and be comfy. I also remember that we ran out of mixers. I might bring some of those along. Still considering the brown sugar bacon wrapped weenies. I hope the gourmet sliced meat and cheese tray makes an appearance too.

Like Dan said, there are a lot of us, but there are also a lot items being brought. Don't worry about feeding EVERYONE. Bring what you're comfortable with. And as sweet as it is to bring extra for take home- my vote is don't worry about packing the extra goods and just bring what you want to serve.

Yes... but in the height of the brunch, there wasn't even room for the chairs that were there, most were simply folded up to make room for people (or if you're sitting, you're staring at people's butts). If you're planning to be there earlier/ stick around and you'd like a chair, then go for it.

My count from the last update is 134. And that's just counting the inforoo peeps, not any friends. I wouldn't be surprised if it hit 200. Of course, not everyone will make it there, so 150 may be reasonable.
I'd still like to bring omelets in a bag, but since space is probably an issue and having a pot of boiling water among that many people isn't a good idea, I'm trying to figure out how to make them beforehand and bring them. Then again, it may end up being too much of a hassle, so I may decide to skip it and just bring mixers and/or ice since I'm hearing there was a shortage of both in previous years.
