Well Bonzai, the old saying "Yea but she has a really killer personality!!". You must just have an ok personality because your have a killer look I can't say JK cuz then it could be taken the other way ha..... I am still bring pralines I guess. I have to survive Waka than get my energy back up for the brunch. That should not be very hard. Look at the prize The Roo and Brunch .... cr****
I've always wanted to make the brunch. It seems my volunteer schedules never would allow me to make it though. This year I finally did prefest and to cut this ramble off... I'll be there!
This sounds like a lot of fun! Count me in for some debauchery, and I'll bring a friend or two if we can find ya. I'm afraid this sort of large social gathering with new people is usually a bit terrifying for me, so if we can all just be extremely inappropriate to break the ice I would be very appreciative.
One of my companions will be celebrating her birthday on Friday, so we will probably have some bday cupcakes in tow. She is also going to try and whip up some bacon pancakes for the festivities. Can't wait to meet ya!

Yeah... I can guarantee that this will not be a problem.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Me +4. Our first time on the farm, but far from our first festival. We'll be corning/smoking a couple of briskets for homemade pastrami, and my angel of a wife agreed to make a few dozen of her legendary deviled eggs so we could represent for the deep south We're coming in Wednesday, and we'll be attempting to join Camp Inforoo in T.O. as this seems like exactly what we enjoy in a festival. Hopefully we can pull that off, but if not we've definitely decided to hunt you folks down for brunch Friday.
1 quick question, any specific location the brunch parade starts?

Pastrami sounds WONDERFUL and easy enough to bring! I would imagine that a couple dozen deviled eggs woulf be harder considering that they have to be layed flat and carried carefully (not to mention the mayo in the heat issue). But I love them, so if she makes 'em, I'll eat 'em!
bunny, do you think we should update the OP? I leave three weeks from tomorrow! It's so close! The parade leaves from Matt's Tree at 9:30 (see a page ago or so for more info about Matt's Tree) and will be swinging by the arch around 9:45.

We're planning on having a dedicated cooler for brunch supplies that won't open 'til Friday morning. We keep the filling for the eggs in gallon ziplocks, then snip the corner and pipe it into the halfs. Much easier to transport, keep cold, and keeps'em from getting soggy. They were a hit with our Wanee neighbors. The pastrami is my current cooking love; apple wood smoked and served with good mustard. Makes mah belly happy! Thanks for the info Bonzai, we'll have a plate with your name on it

WHY WERE YOU NOT OUR WANEE NEIGHBOR? Are you telling me I could have had delish deviled eggs a few weeks ago, but did not? I am offended.

Whoopsy! We live about 20 mins from Spirit of Suwanee, so we tend to go big there. But we gots eggs with your name (well, your handle at least) on'em for the 'Roo. Now you know for next Year! (which, consequently, is half the battle)

We're gonna get a "Dawn of the Dads" meet up at Bonnaroo for Father's Day - all Fathers (and friends) welcome! The only rule is you have to buy another Dad a beer. Just a great way for us all to celebrate Father's Day (especially with many of us away from our kids). Maybe noon on Sunday at the Broo'ers Tent... We did this a few years back - figured we'd do it again!

I plan to bring bacon. Homemade bacon from my incredible butcher, from pigs that are raised locally, that he butchers from whole hog and cures and smokes himself. Its pretty great.
Will someone have a way to cook stuff, or should I cook at camp and bring it over?

Last year, there was a grill, but I'd recommend bringing it over ready to serve.

So... I may be able to come to brunch for an hour if I get there and back in time. I just saw my parking shift added *just now* and it says 12-6pm on Friday as of now. Hopefully I'll manage to make it again this year.
No promises, sadly...I also have a friend that is trying to meet up and camp with us and coming in Friday morning as of now. I'll try to stop by Camp Inforoo at some point even if not Friday morning. See if there are any familiar faces.
Yay! Just confirmed I will be attenInforoo erstwhile! his year. I couldn't remember my old login name for Inforoo so I started a new one and wanted to shout out that I will be at the lovely brunch. It will be myself and Ben. What can we bring and do I need to pack my Paul Bunyan sized skillet? (Literally a 24" skillet.) Can wait to see all you Inforooers! Comcat!!

lol... I guess they're still finalizing some stuff for volunteering shifts. My Friday shift disappeared and I got a 12-hour shift on Thursday instead! I guess they want me stayin at the Brunch more Hopefully it wont change again (or at least to Friday)
My only concern is that the girl scout cookies may not make it to brunch since we're getting their a day earlier than usual. I need some way to protect them. Portable electric fencing?!?!
