I'm not a huge fan of his studio stuff, but I saw him last year at DEMF and he's incredible live. Maybe they'll finally put screens on the tents, because a huge part of his show is watching his hands.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
yes yes yes yes yes! this will be a good time. i would LOVE for him to be the one LN that starts during the headliner. it would be the perfect way for me to kick-off my late night.
What night do you guys expect him? Thursday? Conflicting with EVERYONE?! I'd be totally down for Araab > Death Grips tho. I was really surprised we got him to be perfectly honest with all of the other electronic stuff on the lineup.
By the way, he just released a free mixtape a couple of weeks ago.

He's combining different beats on that pad with all the buttons live. Most djs can mix live but have what they do set out already but what he does is much more intricate and very impressive.
I will be checking out this set if there are no conflicts. He's obviously very talented and well-rehersed. My only gripe with videos like these are that he showboats and "solos" (if you can call it that) too often. I hope he rides the groove a bit more at roo to allow for the dancing that this kind of music is really made for.

Terrible to hear. I still am looking forward to a (hopefully) speedy recovery and the slight chance that he can still perform for us. I slept on him last time he was in town and I won't make that mistake again.
Not to be a dick but I still don't think this really confirms he'll be performing at Roo. He actually posted pictures of himself working on beats while in the hospital. Releasing music and performing live are two very different things. Let's hope he plays though!

He'd be off the lineup by now. And he already posted the dates he would be missing. 'Roo not being one of them.

He also listed the Roots Picnic (which was this past Saturday, June 1st) as a date he would still be playing, yet his name was not on the set times schedule once it was released, and they pretty much swept it under the rug announcing he cancelled in a facebook comment. I'm fairly certain he is still in the hospital, or just got out. This is most likely a day-by-day case.

The listing is still active on Bonnaroo's page. As much as they have messed with it lately (see Matthew E. White), I would be surprised to still find araabmuzik listed when he wouldn't be able to play. I'm thinking he's a GO for Roo.

Even though he unexpectedly cancelled the Roots Picnic, he did just retweet someone about his upcoming Bonnaroo performance. I'd say that's a very good sign
