My group and I were looking into splitting a rental tent (the ones with the cots and all that jazz) so we can be sorta swanky and be guaranteed a close space to Centeroo. Have any of you guys done this before, how fast do these spots usually go, and what were your opinions on your experience?
I'm traveling with younger people who aren't experienced campers, so having cots and a pre-set-up tent was a perk in my eyes.
We did it one year the tents arent bad. And they give you plenty of space between other tents.
A few suggestions: 1. Bring duct tape to tape the floor tarp to the walls. This will help keep the ants from getting in. 2. Bring and easy up or shade tent. It is WAY to hot in those tents to be hanging out in them during the day. 3. Watch out for the support ropes that are used to keep the tents up, especially at night. They hurt haha. Make sure you have a flashlight at night when trying to navigate tent city. If not someone will inevitably trip on those wires.
