I looked but couldn't find a thread for these guys yet. I'm a little late to the party on Django Django, just discovered them yesterday. I could feel comfortable puting them in my top 10 must see this year.

Bands like this are giving me hope in the future of music. Love the sound and I'm sure it will translate well live. Probably in my top 10 anticipated shows this year.
I feel like they will play thursday. I haven't seen it yet on any mock's but if any of the tents go (Django Django -> Alt-J) I will be overjoyed.

I had the same thought as I dug deeper and deeper into the lineup. I think music is on it's way back...
Yessir... lineup haters be damned, the catalog is really, really good this year. Even if there isn't much of "my kind" of music. I forsee many horizons being expanded this year.

I actually got into these guys a few months before the lineup drop, really completely by accident. This should be a really fun show although I have heard that they aren't spectacular live. I'm still optimistic though and will be absolutely sure not to miss them.

Yeah, can't find and good live videos of them besides radio station sessions. And hearing them in a club will differ from in open air. I too, share your optimism

I've been telling anyone who will listen about this band for awhile now. Their album is one of my favorites right now. It's a front to back listener. I really dig their sound... it's so unique. They sound like they are from 30 years ago or 10 years from now.
Alt-J and Django Django are two good reasons to spend time in the Now Playing thread. There's some meh there, but it's always a great way to find the good stuff.

A local radio station started playing Default some time ago and I looked up another couple songs by them and was pleased. Their whole album is on Youtube so I listened to it yesterday. Good stuff. Definitely a gem in the undercard.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I was thinking that myself. Was unsure how anyone how anyone could have missed either if these bands unless they've never visit that thread. Pretty sure most of us wore both out last year. For some reason I assume we're all just listening to the same stuff, at the same time I guess.

I only became feverishly active on the board over the past 3 months, and started following that thread religiously for the last month or so. It took me a while to escape the headliner speculation thread...

I used to, but I actually don't have a lot of time to listen to music as odd as it sounds so it's just a tease... I cut myself off.

I just attended their show at 9:30 Club. It is one of the best I've attended.
I thought their live stuff sounded thin online, but they really brought it. They managed to maintain the intricacies of the music whilst providing boundless energy.
The setlist is top-notch as they only have one album, also good.
Their set-up is also awesome. AVoid if you have problems with epilepsy. But everyone else should be sure not to miss this.
New "Dream Thursday Tent":
Django Django>Purity Ring>Alt-J>Death Grips +some way to catch Japandroids as well.

b I too thought the live videos I've watched we're a little weak. I was a little worried they wouldnt be able to deliver.
This makes my day!!

So is it almost a given that they're playing on thursday? They're playing near me tomorrow, but I'm trying to save up my money and I figure I'm gonna try my best to catch them at Roo anyway
I was playing their music last night at a get together. Everyone was too drunk to listen, and I was getting really upset.... Maybe next time I will try at the beginning. Anyway, I'm glad I listened to them post line-up drop. They're great!
