Wanted to start this thread early as I am headed to my very first Roo this year and want to make sure I have everything planned out well in advance. I am flying into Nashville on Wednesday night at about 1020pm and originally was planning to take an airport hotel and get on the 1st shuttle in the morning. After lurking around here for a while and reading about the demand for the TO camping and how quick it fills up, I am now thinking it may be better to simply get a cab on Wednesday and have it take me right to the farm. The only issue with this plan is that I am travelling alone and would have to pay the full $150 cab fare myself and thus want to see if anyone else might be flying in close to the same time and might want to split a cab with me?
As I mentioned, I am alone and would be looking for 1,2 or even 3 other people to share a cab with me (one of those van cabs should have enough room for 4 people and luggage...no?).I also wouldn’t mind having a person/a few people to camp with, so perhaps this plan can kill "two birds with one stone"...?
My thinking right now is that I (along with anyone that wants to come with) will get a cab from the airport to the Wal-Mart just down the road, load up on supplies/beer/food and then get a 2nd cab to take me from the Wal-Mart to the farm. With this being said, I am certainly open to altering my plan and of course open to advice of anyone with prior experience, this being my first time I sure there is something/a few things that I'm overlooking.
Post in this thread or PM me if you're possibly interested - and just in case anyone cares, I'm 29 year old Canadian dude.
Man just take a cab to Wal-mart and then take it back to the airport and then get a ticket for the shuttle busthey will drop you off in tent only and you will save a ton of money and will not have to worry about camping alone it seems the simplest easiest route possible.

Well, as stated in my post, the reason I want to do this is because I want to arrive earlier then 11AM on Thursday to ensure I get a spot in TO and to ensure I dont have to beg a few feet of ground off someone. And with regards to "saving a ton of money", no, not really. If I take the shuttle I will not only be paying for that, I'll also have to pay for an airport hotel for the night, plus cab fare to the hotel, from the hotel to walmart, back again and another cab from the hotel back to the airport. All in I'm looking at about $180 whereas if I find even one person to share a cab with me, my cost is going to be less then $130.

If traffic is like it was two years ago on Wednesday night, that will be waaaaay more than a $150 can ride. We sat in traffic for 6+ hours once we hit the line around 9pm.
I heard it was better last year on Wednesday night though. Last year we came in early Thursday with VIP.

Hmmm, that is interesting. Thanks for the info, I will keep that in mind.

Bump - still looking for one/two people to split a cab with us (it's myself and my sister now) - had a bit of interest but nothing solid yet. We have checked and confirmed that we can get a flat rate fee of $130.00 from airport to Bonnaroo with Boro Cab - meaning $38-$50 (based on 3 or 4 people) each, which I think is a pretty awesome deal. And I don't see there being any lineup at the gates at 2am or whenever we arrive - worst comes to worst and there somehow is, we jump out of the cab there and hike up to the gates. PM me if interested and we'll make a plan.

Well, there is now three of us, so assuming you can drive all three of us we would be interested. Our flight comes in at 940pm now but we need to get alot of stuff (I'm not joking, we'll be there a while) at Walmart so realistically we'd be wanting a ride from Nashville around 1130pm-midnight. If that might work for you let me know.
