Deerhunter - 5 (Monster, Problem Dog, Longinus, Papa Steve, Bansheebeat) Daft Punk - 4* (Fuzzy, Juggs, Horn*, APCW) The National - 3 (Onion, Kwisatz, Mr. Moss)
Laura Mvula - 1 (Tom) Mikal Cronin - 1 (GL) Mount Kimbie - 1 (George) Savages - 1 (LD)
All you people voting for these random crap albums instead of Daft Punk are just like the idiots in Florida voting Nader in 2000.
Gore had enough votes in Florida to win without needing to take some from Nader. Supreme Court basically (let the State of Florida) steal(s) the election for Bush. You should read "The Betrayal of America" by Vincent Bugliosi.
Because it makes me happy. And it makes me dance. And when I'm driving and playing it in my car, I don't need any gas, because my car bounces from place to place on it's own. !!!!

Nader had 97k votes in a state where 5.96M were cast. Assuming most of those went to Gore, it still would have been close enough to trigger court action and recounts. And we would have seen the same shit go down.
Or you know, Gore could have also won Tennessee and Florida would never have been a problem.
1.Laura Marling- Once I Was An Eagle 2.Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City 3.Savages - Silence Yourself 4.The National - Trouble Will Find Me 5.Daft Punk - Random Access Memories 6.Tricky - False Idols 7.Laura Mvula - Sing to the Moon 8.Dillinger Escape Plan- One Of Us Is The Killer 9.Deerhunter - Monomania 10.Mikal Cronin- MCII
and I haven't even listened to Baths, Pharmakon, or Mount Kimbie yet.

And had Gore won you probably would have been deeply, morally offended by his presidency for some reason or another anyway.

So obviously this is my vote. I also thought Vampire Weekend and Mount Kimble were great, and I enjoyed The National but I thought it was a very safe album for them and sorta boring in a AOTM sense. But RAM is going to join albums like Off the Wall or Rumours in the pantheon of high-quality studio albums that get radio play until the end of time. There were some highlights in Modern Vampires, but nothing as great as the drumming in Contact or the guitar riff that opens Lose Yourself to Dance. And yes, there are a couple lousy songs on RAM, but the fact that there's no real agreement on which ones are the worst is a compliment to the risk taking in the album. Plus, no song on RAM is as bad a Hannah Hunt or Finger Back.
Also, in terms of perspective, if Evil Friends or Settle were released in May, they would have gotten my May vote. With the stuff coming out in June, it's gonna be another hectic voting month.

that's funny. it may be my favorite song on the album. the first time I listened to the album that was the only song that immediately struck me. there were a couple others that I didnn't like, but they have all grown on me.

I think Hannah Hunt is a good song. When the piano and drums pick up towards the end it is great.

Worst song of the year is a little strong. Most cringeworthy is my final answer.

Hey, ya never know...
But I did vote for Nader in 08. And I am a member of the Green Party.
Anyone saying Hannah Hunt is the worst song of the year is being facetious. If they are being serious, their opinions should be under suspicion. You can say it isn't the best song on the album, but WORST song of the YEAR? Your opinion is drunk and needs to go home. What basis?
So far, I'm planning on Kanye being able to give this a run for its money, but my early winner for June is Queens of the Stone Age. I love this shit.
