Missing Umphrey McGee's set on (what I think was) Friday of last year. I danced HARD in the pit at Rod y Gab (I was looking forward to them the most last year), and I was walking back to my tent when I hear their cover of "Breathe" wafting over the farm. I stopped in my tracks and considered going back, but I was so whooped. Then I find out that they jammed with Big Gigantic and played til sunrise. This year I'll try to conserve a bit more energy.

Last year was my first Bonnaroo- instead of just going off by myself to see performances I wanted to see I stuck with my friends and I don't feel like I saw much of anything. This year, if I want to do/see something I'm just going alone, dang it.

I wasn't sure if you were my buddy or not from last year for a second. Me and my friend made the same exact mistake last year. I was going to come into this thread and post the same thing.

THIS! I didn't regret anything until THIS! lsdkfjklasld DANGIT
Robert Plant and Band of Joy at What in 2011...and I was actually THERE, it was just that the sound was so schizzy that we couldn't hear a thing where we were seated. I felt sick over it, but rather than go prospecting all over What for a place to sit, we wandered over to the Superjam. Which was a nice consolation prize, but still...I was raised on Zeppelin. That was a tough year for sound...had the same trouble with Neil Young.
For some reason, as soon as Band of Skulls started playing in 2011, I said, "let's go find another show" and we ended up wandering around for the next hour. Now one of my fav bands.
I also met a very, very beautiful girl at Dispatch last year that I couldn't keep dancing with, because we were off to a different area or something. Thats not a band problem, but Two Coins was playing when I last saw her and that's what I think about when I hear the song. Very touching, I know
Not bringing an EZ-Up my first year. That was rough.
-Not seeing LCD Soundsystem in '10 - I don't know what I was thinking -Walking away from Sleigh Bells before their set ended in '11 - crowd was too large and I was so tired from driving the RV to get there that day -No regrets in '12 - I did everything I wanted to do as if it would be my last time on the farm
-Not riding the Ferris Wheel isn't a regret, but I ma slightly intrigued. Maybe this year.
Havin' too much 'Roo too soon in 2008 (my second year). Partied way too hard to fast on Friday and missed Jose Gonzalez and the second half of MMJ. Also not makin' it to Brunch until 2011.

my biggest regret was not realizing sooner I should have ditched my boring group of friends. Last year was our first Roo. I quickly learned that they were the worst people to bring to a festival and werent even there for the music. It took me until Saturday night to say fuck it and spend the rest of the weekend on my own. I'm still pissed I missed Gary Clark Jr., Feist, The Kooks & Kendrick Lamar.

My biggest regret is not drinking enough water on the hot-as-Hades afternoon that preceded the White Stripes in 07 and getting heat exhaustion. I saw the show, but it was kind of hard to enjoy it recovering from that. I've not made that mistake since that day.

I remember that day. More distinctly, I remember it being hot as hell at the Wilco show that day. 2007 was just rough in general as far as the elements went.
Oh man I don't want to rub it in but that is probably one of my most favorite Roo moments. When Jack Johnson came out to join them, I nearly passed out even though he was on stage right before.
2004 regret: leaving The Dead early cause my friend was tired and cold.
2008 regret: missing Gogol Bordello. Didn't know about them at the time.
2009 regret: missing David Byrne although my Beasties were on stage at the same time and they took precedence. I will make it point to catch him this year.
2012 regret: Not remembering where the Amish donuts were. I stumbled upon them one night while in search of fried oreos and at the time thought I was settling with just a donut. Oh man was I wrong! I can still taste them melting in my mouth right now.

A tiny quibble: Eddie came out for Jack's set. Jack didn't come out for Pearl Jam's set. (I have their official bootleg to back it up.)

I am so sorry you missed the 04 dead show. When they broke out shine on you crazy diamond I couldn't believe it.
It was the beastie boys last show ever so don't feel too bad about missing David Byrne

I almost went to David Byrne, but am so glad I saw the last ever Beasties show. I regret missing LCD, although I was right up front for The Flaming Lips.
I do regret missin' The Beastie Boys especially now, but it was no question as Talking Heads are my favorite band ever and I could not miss David Byrne.
