Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'll be carrying my iPhone so i think i'll put my schedule in/set reminders to buzz me when something i don't want to miss is going to start
great idea to avoid obsessively checking the time!
I will try laminating daly schedules for my personal use. I know the book they give us with the paper schedule is pretty much useless very early on (sweat, rain, mist tents, etc). I may get a cheap watch to keep the time lose the band and make it a pocket watch. I worry about pulling my phone out over and over all day. I will probably keep it in a zip lock bag with those silica gel bags that come in shoes to keep them dry. i will try to keep the power usage to a minimum I hope to get 12 hours from a charge but if i get one of those portable battery powered chargers i can charge it in centeroo and help out my neighbors at shows.

also a good idea! I can get pretty crazy with the laminating sheets at work so maybe I will try that too. I just know there's a better method than my previous one of getting lost in the music then all of a sudden thinking, "oh shiz did I miss that other band I wanted to see?" and digging around for my beat-up schedule, while also looking at my watch about three times until the current time actually registered.
I should try not even looking at the schedule and just wandering around listening to music if I like it and moving on if I don't. That sounds like fun! Maybe next year don't even check the lineup just buy a ticket and go without knowing what is going on.
Let's see ... I missed Fun. in 2012. I was camped close and heard the crowd singing along and thought that I was probably missing one of the most epic moments of the festival. You can't be there for them all. I have watched Fun. play ''We Are Young" to the 'Roovians a hundred times since, on YouTube. Good show. I had never heard of them and didn't really notice them on the bill, Fun. just wasn't part of my life until that moment when I heard the crowd singing along to that song ... now I have their album and will get more.

Last Bonnaroo was my first music festival...biggest regret was going to hard during the day, missing on the late night because I was about to fall over I was so tired.
My only regret was not bringing a pen and paper to document the crazy shit I saw or the peoples names I met.. and not eating more jerry rolls (food, you guys).

I always keep a small notebook and pen in my camel back just fer that reason!
waiting on Bootsy's f**kin soundcheck man to get his s**t together in 2011 . . . missed the Black Keys and barely made the next set I was trying to go to.
oh and never having hit silent disco. that's happenin this year.

Last year a buddy and I missed Kenny Rogers because there were a couple sketchy looking wooks that kept walking by our campsite. We regret not seeing him but we don't regret making sure all of our stuff was safe.
Also I left Umph too early and missed BG, still mad at myself for that.

Skipping Loretta Lynn to get a good spot for the Black Keys and napping through the first half of Buffalo Springfield. It was my first Roo, first camping festival, and I was so burnt out by Saturday.

Accidentally slept through the Saturday's late night shows in 2011 I actually woke up as Girl Talk was finishing his set and I was in just pure disappointment with myself
My only Roo was 2010 and I have a handful of regrets:
1. Giving my all at Weezer, which caused me to miss the first half of Stevie Wonder, and not have a lot of energy for Jay Z. 2. Not doing the Silent Disco or Ferris Wheel. 3. Watching The Flaming Lips from the back, while I could have had a good spot for either The Black Keys or Daryl Hall/Chromeo. 4. Not watching any shows at What from the pit. 5. Drinking too much beer during the day, leaving me tired and spent for late nite. 6. Spending Wednesday night in the car, getting no sleep whatsoever, and therefore starting the festival off in a sleep deprived state.

This was an epic set... loved it...
As far as regrets, for me it is hard because usually when I miss something it is in place of something else equally awesome... I did miss the Avett Brothers and Alice Cooper last year, which were both huge fails...
My biggest regret was not going until 2011...I missed so many great lineups! But with kids it just wasn't easy...but now that grandma lives in Pigeon Forge, I can drop them off on the way!
But other than that, my biggest regret was missing the Strokes...my first year, I was done at that point, and they were one of the main reasons I went.
Not talking to Jim James when I saw him on his way to the Dr. John show. Not knowing dudes like The Head and the Heart, Twin Shadow, Sharon Van Etten and Futurebirds back in 2011. Falling asleep at the STS9 late night show and missing it almost completely.
In 2003 i was only 9 years old... but my parents should have somehow knew i was going to end up being a james brown fan and taken me to see him! I'll never forgive them for this...

1. that makes me feel old 2. I took my daughter to roo for the first time when she was 8- I like to think one day she will be glad that she saw the Beastie Boys' last performance that year, and also that she saw Paul this year

If I could do Saturday all over again it would have gone much differently. I probably would have tried to catch Tallest Man on Earth, even if I had to be outside the tent by a bit. I passed him up because I'd seen him once before, but my friend told me he did some songs I wanted to hear that he didn't do when I saw him previously.
I regret missing the Soul Superjam. If I could have a do over, I would have stayed where I was after PHJB and gone straight into the Superjam, instead of bailing to see Weird Al. Then I would have headed over to Empire of the Sun and would have just gutted it out the entire way through their set, assuming I got a decent spot at all. I was pretty far gone Saturday.
I also wish I had caught The XX Friday night. I probably still could have gotten a good spot for Animal Collective.
