Mumford had the largest ever crowd at the Which stage last time they played Roo, according to one of the Bric-a-Brac vids on the Bonnaroo YouTube channel. Will all of their recent success and awards how are people still saying they are not headliner worthy? Remember when people said Eminem had no place headlining? Bonnaroo doesn't just throw something together willy nilly. Please by all means don't go to the Mumford show just allows me to be that much closer to an amazing band.
Keep wishing for Price boys. I hope Mumford rocks so hard Prince just drops dead where ever he is.

Huh? Is there a fight I missed? Or are you just on the defensive because of the lack of M&S love here? One does not have much to do with the other - 98% of the people posting here don't really think Bonnaroo is getting Prince this year anyway - it's a running joke.

Ya gotta have drums to "rock hard". Know who has drums? Prince.

I am really trying to get into Prince but having a hard time. I really don't enjoy Purple Rain and other radio hits by him, thought his show at the Superbowl was cringe worthy...but one of my favourite songs at the moment is Chelsea Rodgers. Any recommendations for albums or songs based on that? I know that's not what this thread is about but I saw it and thought I'd ask.

Check out, "When Doves Cry." Some killer guitar in it.

I'm not sure what to tell you if you don't like any of his radio songs and thought his SB show was cringe-worthy. It was, in fact, the best one of all time. Anyway, if you like Chelsea Rodgers, you're probably a fan of the funkier side since that song is all funk and horns. I'd go with the "Black Album" - not his best by any means but very funky. Then go back and do Parade and Sign O' The Times back-to-back and see what you think.

Marcus Mumford actually plays the drums in the song Lover of the Light. Just goes to show what a talented musician he is.
And on every other track where there are drums, which is quite a few of them (unless it's Ted, he plays once in a while). And I don't care if some people think Prince is weak live, I still want to see him this year, and if it's at Roo even better!

Right, Lover of the Light was the one I definitely knew off the top of my head. The Mumford and Sons songs that need drums have drums, the one's that don't need drums don't have drums.

This thread got me thinking, and I'm pretty certain we're gonna get Daft Punk. Just look at the facts:
-New album coming out May 21 (just before Bonnaroo. No way this is a coincidence). -Additions haven't been announced yet (they're probably waiting for the new album to drop). -Daft Punk is cool (AC wants to look cool). -Coachella didn't get Daft Punk (Bonnaroo probably made them sign an exclusive deal).
You really can't deny the sound logic here. Daft Punk is a lock.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Joke or no joke, I didn't have a problem with Prince. I took issue with the idea that Mumford wasn't worthy of headlining. I understand people won't like a band but you can't turn and say they're terrible, I didn't even say "No they're worthy because I Love them!" I said they're worthy because last time they played the Which stage couldn't contain them, and it isn't even MY opinion it's the opinion of one of the co-founders of Roo who said it's the biggest show the Which stage has ever seen.
That concert was in 2010! Since then they have won Top Rock Album, Top Alternative Album, and Top Alternative Artist from Billboard; a Grammy for Album of the Year, their first album sold 2 million copies in the US & Canada and their most recent album sold 4 million copies in US & Canada. To say they don't deserve to be in the big show after that... like... some peoples kids I tell yea.
^. That's what's great about bonnaroo! You like stuff I don't like, I like stuff you don't like, other attendees like stuff neither of us like. And yet somehow we can all have fun together.

I'm pretty sure we're getting a Led Zeppilin reunion you guys... Paul McCartney isn't big enough to be our top headliner. Don't you remember the #WhoTheFuckIsPaulMcCartney hashtag after the 2012 Grammys?
Then you have second tier acts, like, Radiohead, prince, muse, chili peppers, etc...and they are lucky if they get 1 mill, but they normally only get 500 k
then you have third tier : snoop, dre, J z...they get 100 k
then you have 4th tier : black keys, munford byoncee, Prince etcc: they get 50 k
you can see why Coachella failed to sign the stones......they wanted 12 mill for the 2 weekends........
But if a festival gets macca, they basically made it.....they will win the award for best festival of the year. That's it
You've got to be fvckin kidding me!
