Interesting twist giving it a modern feel, definitely feels older also. I'm hoping it lives up to the original, and that it stays on the air for longer then a season
I haven't even SEEN previews for NBC's Hannibal. But I really enjoyed Bates Motel. There were quite a few people on Twitter who were pretty peeved that it's set in modern times - but I like it. Also of note, Radiohead's "The Tourist" was used as a backing track in one scene and it was perfect. Also - way to get out the gate...

Bates Motel is actually pretty great. Shocked some of this was allowed on air honestly.
Is it bad that I didn't think that at all? I mean, after Nip/Tuck, Breaking Bad and others, the gruesomeness didn't seem that out of the ordinary for cable.
I did like the pilot, though. Curious to see where it goes.
