The whole thing is a damn shame, because Bauuer's actually pretty awesome and the song itself isn't terrible, but it's all been reduced to this one note meme.
I hope it's like the second song of his set at Coachella.
I was originally hoping to check him out, too, but I have a feeling that tent is going to be a nightmare when he plays. Unless there is literally nothing else worth seeing at that time slot, I won't be anywhere near his set.
I forgot he was on Saturday. Yeah, don't see that happening at this point.

I was also wanting to check Bauuer out at Coachella. I have a feeling I'll decide to be elsewhere when it comes time for his set. It'll just depend on the crowd size for me.
Dear everyone that loves the Matt & Kim Harlem Shake video,
I love you guys. They filmed it at the show in my hometown. It was great fun.
So you were there? Awesome
I've watched the video from the concert-goers POV, and it was pretty cool too.
Yeah. 75% sure that Kim was wasted. She kept saying stuff about how hot her vagina was and she had the crowd hold her up while she did some kind of booty dance. I'm hoping for a repeat at 'roo.

Ha, that's not uncommon for a Matt & Kim show. She has the mouth of a sailor.
LOL, I think you can probably convince people to do it while they're waiting in line easily enough
Even easier. Film the first part at like 7 a.m. in a tent when nobody is around. Then film the second part during a raging late night where people are dancing and going crazy.

We need to keep Bonnaroo ahead of the curve, not behind it. Whats the next dance meme? There isn't one yet you say? How hard was that original HS video to make? 30 sound bite? check. Bunch of bored college dudes and some corn? check. If you want to make a video like this, it wouldn't be that hard (especially at a place like Bonnaroo where pretty much everyone is creative in their own right), and you could start something in the process rather than just look like some coattails-ridin' bandwagon-gettin'-on wannabees.
I love the internet and the speed at which it can spread a virus like this, but I HATE most peoples' ability to withstand the magnitude of sustained repetitions of such memes. How many college sports teams need to make one of these? and do they feel the least bit original at this point? (or even at the point of a couple of months ago?), and does it ever get funnier after the first 30 or so takes on the idea?
I sound like a downer here, but I would want to see something NEW when all of these creative minds get together at Bonnaroo rather than some played out schtick. Bauuer's not gonna be there, and I'm afraid this trend has already dealt the death blow to a sustainable career for him. It will be hard for him to get out of this shadow especially if trap has already seen the height of it's popularity.
I guess being burnt out is one thing but I get the vibe that some are just above it for some reason or perhaps its "stupid". I just thought it would be a fun collective effort. Especially, as someone mentioned above, the line wait to get in under the arch.
It could be the Harlem Shaketh of epic proportions....... or not.

Good point. Can't argue with that. I suppose it has passed...
