I can honestly say that I've never paid attention to socks before in my life. I usually keep mine on because I almost always wear socks. I think if you are paying attention to if someone is wearing socks or not, you are paying attention to the wrong things. The only reason I would ever think it matters is if you have a foot fetish. I would always notice, because I always notice socks in general, because I hate socks, because I both hate the feeling of them and because I hate my feet being closed in, so I never, ever wear them unless I have to and so, I noticed when other people are even walking around in socks never mind while making sexy time, so socks matter!

Not really. The whole point of this thread, as you can see in the poll, is that roughly 50% of the world REALLY cares about whether your socks are off (or on, gross).
I think it's pretty evident at this point that most normal people prefer to have their socks off or are indifferent. And the people voting for socks on are either confused or suffering from a temporary mental incapacity.
Phi, you should really be ashamed at how terrible your rebuttal was. Putting a stupid internet meme at the end of a terrible comeback doesn't mean you won, fyi. For someone who loves to stir the pot, I expected better.

There is literally nothing more distracting to me when it's time to get to bizness; stripping down and then only having socks on.
I have been known to be awkward and be like "wait" and then try to take my socks off with my feet all discretely... (discretely has mixed results)
Not to be off (on?) topic, but my rule of thumb is if pants are off, as in completely off, then socks are off too. It's pretty easy to remove both in one fell swoop.
