I'm looking to take a bus, and greyhound is insanely expensive..I found one site called Megabus.com that seemed affordable, but I didn't know if it was a scam or something...anyone know of any cheap ways to travel by bus?
Megabus is 100% legit. I've rode it many times and will ride it again this weekend. It's the cheapest you'll find anywhere. AND it comes with bathrooms, wifi, and electrical outlets.
Take Megabus, I've taken it from DC to NYC many times with no complaints. They are fast and better than Greyhounds. Book them ASAP because the sooner you know your dates and book the cheaper your fare.
Is there any way to get discounts for greyhound? because its just stupid how expensive greyhound tickets are.

I've done Megabus and it works pretty well and is reasonably priced unlike Greyhound. Just curious as to why you seem so set on taking Greyhound.
Ah my bad I guess I should have mentioned that this is actually for getting to Hangout Fest, and the closest megabus goes to there is Birmingham, AL....luckily for Roo me and a buddy are riding together.
