I saw them open for david bowie in 04 in houston. They were pretty good live. I guess it depends on the conflicts though. A lot of you will really enjoy this show more than I did I gusrantee it. It just wasn't my thing but it was very good.
If you think you will like it it really is a must see act. For me most bands I have already seen drop a notch on priorities.

So I noticed when the schedule came out that they weren't on there. I haven't noticed them get added on either. Anyone heard from AC/Roo what the deal is with this?

I saw them perform in Indianapolis a few years back. It was a great show but a lame crowd. I love Tripping Daisy/The Polyphonic Spree/Tim Delaughter-in-general and can't wait to see them on the farm! Even if I have to wait in hella long line to do so.

Thank you. I love Burroughs as well, even though it took me two attempts to finish "Naked Lunch" after seeing the Cronenberg movie. "Queer" and "Junkie" were a little more digestable.
The image comes from an illustrated book that I'm not even sure is published. Fortunately this cool image exists, whether or not the book does.
Do you know for sure that they're doing the Rocky set at the Bottletree Wed.? I might check that out instead & free me up to check out some other acts Thursday.

I love "Naked Lunch" for its uniqueness but I had to read it in little pieces to get through. I would read 10-15 pages and then say "Well I'm about done for the day."
Oh, and I really hope The Polyphonic Spree come through with a fountain show! I'm hoping to end my Thursday with Maps & Atlases followed by the Spree at the fountain.

The cut-up method is definitely best read in small bits. I thought about bringing Naked Lunch to read excerpts out loud and entertain/annoy my brother.
I'm hoping for a fountain show as well. If that is confirmed it may help avoid the hassle of getting in the Cinema tent. However, I would still love to see the Rocky Horror performance. ...I don't know... Maybe it's worth the hassle, fountain show or no.
