I went with my girlfriend that year, we were late to Phish Friday due to an exciting afternoon. From the back row of portos @ What, I grabbed her hand and began walking along the food vendors on the right side (strong side!). After slinking in between the masses for a short while, we made our way up to the pit entrance and were immediately granted access. Within ten minutes of arriving twenty minutes late for Phish, we had managed to get a nice spot in the back of the pit but in front of 50,000 strong. It was such a telling and surreal experience, I never saw doing the Pit at roo the same again. Crystal Castles was literally the only way that experience could have reached new heights. Thanks, CC.
