I've always liked Paul Rhoads; the defense he put together at Auburn the one year he was here was unbelievable. Unfortunately that was also the year of Tuberville's attempt at the spread offense. He seems to be a coach's coach.
That ISU game was nuts. I love their head coach. That speech got me fired up. I can not wait for tomorrow! Looks to be a good day of ball. Mack Brown is not what I want as my HC. He needs to look at that video and reevaluate his words. Away from the ball and in the end zone, after the whistle, and at the knees. Their is no excuse for that crap.

Clowney sat out of practice yesterday because of bruised ribs but should play tomorrow. That makes 3 "medical issues" this year, right? Stomach flu, bone spurs and bruised ribs?

Condoleezza Rice has been selected to the committee that will pick four teams to advance to the college football playoffs following the 2014 season. This should bode well for Stanford.

Clowney sucks.
The point I was getting at was that, regardless of his play, draft scouts have be to having questions about his level of effort and/or injury risk.

Are you watching the FSU game? Damn son.
yea, he should have just sat this year out, he's playing(or not playing) not to get hurt and he's always had a problem with lack of effort. I quit watching, Maryland sucks.
Auburn looks like a completely different team after the bye week. They learned how to tackle and Nick Marshall seems confident.
I was just talking to a coworker about how I wished Tennessee played Auburn early in the season rather than late. They really seems to be improving as the year goes on.
I need to cry, nap and drink. The order it happens doesn't matter.
I was definitely drinking after that game to calm my nerves. Tennessee brought a great game today, I was actually very impressed with how they moved the ball
I hope our team isn't looking passed BC as much as I am. is it Oct. 19 yet?
After I got past the idea that the FSU game yesterday was going to be competitive at all, I did at least get some enjoyment out of that their showing really did increase the odds that the game on the 19th is going to be pretty great.
I have to digress for a second. Watching the 600th replay of Howard's fumble on TV may kill me before the end of the weekend, but I still feel good about yesterday. It may be fan delusion, but yesterday was kind of great in a way. It's not the first time we have come close to beating a team we shouldn't have in the last few years (Gamecocks last year), but this one really felt different. It may be that we have a new coach who is in that phase where everything is possible in the future, but I think it had more to do with it being at home. In case you didn't see it, the crowd was losing their f*cking minds at the end of the game. The stadium rumbled. Rocky Top was sung on repeat for 20 minutes. It's really the first time in years where it felt like a Tennessee game. They ended up losing it in OT, but the crowd cheered the team on their way off the field. It looked like people finally enjoyed a conference game rather than enduring it, so I kind of feel good even with the loss. Either that or my mind if faking euphoria, so I don't have to deal with the heartbreak. Either one.

that FSU game is going to be a shootout. can't wait. calm down buddy, you know you were only in the game because UGA had so many injuries right? but yea, I'm sure it was exciting. and you're going to beat SC. I'm making that call right now.
So stoked with Auburn's 30-22 win over the #24 Rebel Black Bears, though we had it in bag with a 27-9 lead midway thru the 3rd and let them come back within 5 late.... Now Auburn is the 1st team outside the Top 25. We should easily take care of business against 1-5 FCS Western Carolina, maybe have a couple teams in those last few spots lose (Georgia over Mizzou most likely) and we should be in the Top 25 headed into our game against A&M.
I'll say this about Georgia- their defense is going to cost them at least one more game before the end of the year. As long as they have Murray, they'll be fine offensively. But that defense is atrocious. I'd put UGA on upset alert every week the rest of the season, especially against Florida, who has the best defense they'll face all season.
