1 see you in the cinema for the playoffs and polyphonic 2 what is your secret to sleep till 2 or 3 pm at bonnaroo?
Sleeping that late is wishful thinking on my part but last year Sunday was overcast & the weather remained cool so it could've been possible if Sunday wasn't jam packed for me. I'm hoping the same weather for this year on Sunday & the fact is there isn't really anyone I'm falling over to see until DB&SV. Also a sleep mask, ear plugs & several battery operated fans help to get some extra winks in my experience if it is bright & hot in the mornings.
If it's not possible to sleep I'll be hanging out at the bluegrass stage for the first few acts then back to the camp to prepare for ES&MZ-->DB&SV-->TP&HB
I have a lot I want to catch... but not too many that are MUST SEE's. A lot of that has to do with my lack of familiarity with some artists. This is what I have on my schedule right now, though lots overlap:
Thursday Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers twenty one pilots Futurebirds Django Django Japandroids Alt-J/Polyphonic Spree RHPS (Have NO CLUE how I'm going to make this work yet ) ALO w/ Special Guests
Friday Bernhoft/Trombone Shorty Of Monsters & Men Foals Wilco/John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension The xx/Conspirator Paul McCartney ZZ Top/Wu-Tang Clan (figure I'll catch some of both, but don't care to stay for the whole set of either) Pretty Lights/Animal Collective
Saturday Preservation Hall Jazz Band Portugal. The Man Ed Helms' Whisky Sour Radio Hour Gov't Mule/Four Tet Dirty Projectors Matt & Kim/Cat Power Bjork/Dwight Yoakam/A-Trak (bouncing all over) The Lumineers Mumford & Sons Superjam/Billy Idol/Weird Al (bouncing some more) Bustle in your Hedgerow/Boys Noize
Sunday Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Kendrick Lamar Swans/Edward Sharpe The National Ed Helms Bluegrass Situation Superjam David Byrne & St. Vincent Tom Petty

Ambitious scheduling, but that's how I do... Also I'm a hip-hop head, so that is main reason for venturing to Bonnaroo... certain acts shall not be missed.
Thursday: Late Start AraabMuzik* > HAIM > Deap Valley > Purity Ring (Maybe) > Japandroids > Killer Mike(MUST SEE)
Friday: Bombino > Charli XCX > Jillette Johnson (Maybe... She's hot) > Earl Sweatshirt (MUST SEE) > Big K.R.I.T. > Wilco > Drunk and doing corn while everyone is at Paul > Wu-Tang (Pit? MUST SEE) > Pretty Lights (MUST SEE)
Saturday: Portugal, The Man > NAS (THE GOAT, MUST SEE) > Cat Power or Matt & Kim > A-Trak > End of Lumineers > Mumford & Sons > Billy Idol > Boys NOIZE!
Sunday: Kacey Musgraves (HOT) > Action Bronson (MUST SEE) > Macklemore & RL > Kendrick Lamar (Pit?) > Tame Impala > A$AP > Drunk and on corn during Tom Petty
Looks like an awesome fest!!! Also I will be shooting a documentary about Bonnaroo After Dark... And its not what it sounds like, its about all the night acts. Let me know if anyone wants to be interviewed!!

Dude, you have to see Sir Paul. if not, you'll be old like me one day and regret the chances you missed to see legemds. I'll give ya props for Kacey Musgraves,

Saturday
Portugal. The Man Ed Helms' Whisky Sour Radio Hour
How do you plan on pulling that off?
This is prob my biggest conflict. That and and either sacrificing a good spot for Mumford and Son to see The Lumineers or vice versa.

Saturday
PHJB > Portugal. The Man > The Tallest Man on Earth > Gov't Mule > Matt & Kim > Bjork > Lumineers >Mumford and Sons > Soul Superjam > Empire of the Sun > Bustle in your Hedgerow
Sunday
Jeff the Brotherhood > ANYTHING BUT MACKLEMORE > Kendrick Lamar > Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros > David Byrne & St. Vincent > Tom Petty
Thursday: The Stepkids > Reno 911! D**q Safety Class > Walk the Moon > Purity Ring > Alt-J > ALO (maybe Capital Cities)
Friday: Reptar > Bombino > ? > Passion Pit > Foals > John McLaughlin > Conspirator > Paul McCartney > Wu Tang (partial, will leave early for good spot for AnCo) > Animal Collective
Saturday: Death Grips > Four Tet > Dirty Projectors/Matt & Kim > Bjork > nap time > Billy Idol > Empire of the Sun/Bustle in Your Hedgerow/Boys Noize (going to be an at the time call, would love to see them all!)
Sunday: Baroness > Swans > Tame Impala (partial, most likely staying for all of Swans) > David Byrne & St. Vincent > Tom Petty
This is how my schedule stacks up right now, but who knows what it'll look like when it's actually time! Still torn on the Saturday LN sets. I wouldn't mind seeing the Superjam, but I know my girlfriend is going to be going to Billy Idol...so we'll see, I wouldn't mind seeing Billy either. But after that, I'd love see all 3, Empire, Bustle, and Boys Noize. That will definitely be an at the time call depending on my mood.

That's a total of 40 acts which is doable but I prefer posting up and catching whole sets so I expect that number to come down significantly but either way it looks like it will be a pretty full 4 days with a lot more daytime acts than I am used to.
I noticed that this year has the fewest number of acts on the What stage that I'll be going to and every single time I see something at That tent it is only because I am able to catch the end of the set or the beginning of another so that means the shows that have the lowest level of priority are in the tent that I like the least and conversely my favorite tent, The Other Tent, has more acts that I want to see than any other year I have been. This year is also the first year I will not be attending a headliner set.
TL:DR -> I disliked the schedule initially but is looking pretty awesome after some planning.

DIIV -> Futurebirds -> Ariel Pink -> Django Django -> Father John Misty
Calexico -> Local natives -> whatever -> FOALS -> Wilco -> Paul Mccartney -> ZZ Top -> Back and forth between Pretty Lights and AnCo
Cults -> Preservation Hall -> PtM -> Frank Turner -> Four Tet -> Nas _> Bjork Pit line -> Bjork -> ferris wheel plus Michael Winslow -> anything that isn't Empire of the Sun
Wild Nothing -> Baroness -> Swans -> Tame Impala -> Divine Fits -> David Byrne/St Vincent -> Tom Petty
Friday: Sea Wolf > Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit > OMAM >Daniel Tosh > Conspirator > Paul McCartney > Wu Tang > Pretty Lights
Saturday: David Lynch Meditation > Clockwork > Whisky Sour Radio Hour > Tallest Man on Earth/Gov’t Mule halves > Comedy Bang! Bang! > The Revivalists > Mumford > Superjam LN or R. Kelly—depends on what I’m feeling > Bustle in your Hedgerow
Sunday: Kasey Musgraves > Delta Rae leaving early for > Macklemore > Noam Pikelny > Edward Sharpe > Bluegrass Situation > Tom Petty
Saturday is by far the worst for me, so that is a really tentative schedule, no telling where I will be..Throw in the fact that drunk me has a completely different taste in music than sober me and I may not make anything that I plan to once the sun goes down.

Thursday: Reno 911 and Polyphonic Spree RHPS. And just wandering around listening to new stuff, I don't know many of the acts on Thursday...psyched to discover new things. Friday: Trombone Shorty > Daniel Tosh (I hope), if not, Amadou and Mariam > little bit of John McLaughlin > Jim James > Sir Paul > little bit of Wu Tang > ZZ Top Saturday: Preservation Hall > Solange > Four Tet > Nas > Bjork > Mumford > little bit of R Kelly > most of the Superjam > Bustle in Your Hedgerow Sunday: Muscle Shoals > Lee Fields > Macklemore & Ryan Lewis > Bob Saget > David Byrne > some of Petty if I can hack it, but I plan to leave Sunday night.
So we're trying to work out a basic schedule - to which there will be numerous deviations. But something to start from at least. So every music festival, each family member picks their top five and then we look at the schedule to see how possible it is.
Littlest: Do we have to include Paul McCartney since daddy's making us go to that one no matter what?
Mrs. G: No, McCartney is a given.
Me: Oh? Cool - I get another spot in my top five.
Mrs. G: No, you don't.
Oldest: But we all really have to go to Paul McCartney?
Mrs. G: Yes and be advised your father will probably openly weep during his set.
Thursday: >The Stepkids>break...> >Ariel Pink(partial)>Walk the Moon>Purity Ring>Alt J>Capital Cities>Sleep
Friday: Reptar>Bombino>break...> >Passion Pit>Wilco>The Third Best Beatle>ZZ Top>Animal Collective>Sleep
Saturday: Death Grips>break...> >BJORK!!!> >Super Jam(partial)>Billy Idol(partial)>Empire of the Sun> Bustle in Your Hedgerow(partial)>Sleep
Sunday:Baroness>A huge debacle to decide from that includes:Holy Ghost,Swans,Tame Impala,The National,Divine Fits,David Byrne&St. Vincent,Ed Helms> >Tom Petty>Sleep
NOTES: Thursday is going to be fun and I may do the VIP party for a bit. Friday has me at the What Stage most of the day for Paul McCartney. By the way, I only say "third best Beatle", because George is my favorite and John follows. Saturday has me at the What Stage most of the day for Bjork. Sunday is just a mess!!! Any suggestions? I've seen Tame Impala and The National before...
This is my 5th Bonnaroo and 1st as VIP,so I know my schedule never goes as planned. This may be my last Bonnaroo due to graduating with my Masters in August, so I may have to enter the "real world". I hope everyone has a great Bonnaroo experience!!!
Damn, man...we need a Sonic drop, because here I am doing all this research and laying out all these logistics & whatnot, and I have this creeping dread that as soon as I see the Sonic schedule all this planning is going to be flung out the window.
After thinking things through and making adjustments. I'm sure there will be changes after the Sonic Stage is announced. We Are Augustines and Dawes on that stage last year were some of my favorite sets.
Thursday: Johnnyswim > Twenty One Pilots > Houndmouth > Walk The Moon > Django Django > Japandroids > Alt J > The Vaccines Friday: Sea Wolf > Calexico > Of Monsters and Men > Grizzly Bear > leave early for Wilco > Paul McCartney > ZZ Top > Animal Collective Saturday: Mathew E White > Lord Huron > Tallest Man On Earth / Govt Mule > Drew Holcolm and The Neighbors > Stop Light Observations > Bjork > Mumford and Sons > SuperJam > Bustle In Your Hedgerow Sunday: Kacey Musgraves > John Fullbright > Black Prairie > Sheepdogs (partial) > Edward Sharpe > leave early for The National > Tom Petty
I love reading through these schedules and realizing that we are all attending completely different festivals.
THURSDAY: HAIM, Walk The Moon, Father John Misty, Purity Ring I'm keepin' this day fairly open and plan to really just bounce around and see what strikes my fancy.
FRIDAY: Trombone Shorty, Reptar, Local Natives, Jim James, Paul McCartney, Wu-Tang Clan, ZZ Top Those first two shows suck that they are opposed and dependin' on Brunch activities I hope to make them.
SATURDAY: Preservation Jazz Hall Band, Two Gallants, Nas, Matt & Kim, Bjork, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Superjam, Billy Idol, "Weird Al" Still no idea what I'm gonna do about the latenights. It'll probably be an in the moment decision.
SUNDAY: Action Bronson, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers I've got a lot of time to wander between artists I'd like to see, but most of Sunday is pretty easy on me.
