BONNAROO 2013 I had to make some heartbreaking cuts, but here's my plan.
I can't imagine you making any cuts from that list. Is this your first Roo? I don't believe you're going to see more than half of that. A piece of, albeit unsolicited, advice would be axe those 20 minute chunks. You're going to spend 5 minutes getting there minimum and then you'll probably arrive mid song and catch 2 full songs tops.

It's not my first Roo. I was joking about making cuts. In 2010, I caught 60 acts for at least 30-minutes each, so I'm being more ambitious this year in terms of how many acts I can lay eyes on. I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer to catch half-sets of as many artists as I can. I can move from tent to tent in half-a-song's time. As in 2010, I'm covering the fest as a journalist, and although I have my personal favorites, I want to keep moving even though I'm sacrificing full sets. I am seeing full or nearly-full sets for a few artists, but most of these are half-hour blocks.
Thursday ( I love Roo Thursdays): HAIM > Django Django > Japandroids (thought about misty but I feel like I'll want something louder) > Alt-J > ALO /(capital cities?)
Friday: REPTAR!! (looking forward to most) > Of Monsters & Men > Passion Pit > Foals/Grizzly Bear? Idk yet > Jim James (maybe some XX if I'm hustling) > Paul McCartney (gonna be great) > Wu Tang > Pretty Lights (party time)
Saturday: Lord Huron > The Tallest Man on Earth > Portugal The Man. > Mumford & Son's > R. Kelly (high expectations for this show) > Soul Super Jam > Empire of the Sun
Sunday: The Sheepdogs (We'll see how I'm feeling. I might enjoy some shade instead) > Sam Bush & Del McCoury (FINALLY some bluegrass) > The National (2 or 3 tunes as I pass by) > David Byrne (personal idol) & St. Vincent (This must be the place please!) > Tom Petty
BONNAROO 2013 I had to make some heartbreaking cuts, but here's my plan.
WOAHHHHH, thinking of doing that just made me tired, hahaaha, I understand now that you've said you're covering roo as a story, so I wish you luck and may the roo be with you. Btw, you have to let us all know afterward how many of these you make it to!!
Let me first say that there are still a few decisions to be made. The bold are ones that I refuse to miss
Thursday: DIIV, TWENTY ONE PILOTS, JD McPherson, HAIM, Django Django/ Purity Ring, FJM, Alt-J, Capital Cities, perhaps the end ALO
Friday: Reptar, Local Natives, OMaM/ Earl, Foals/ Grizzly Bear, THE XX, PAUL MOTHERQUACKIN' MCCARTNEY, WU TANG, (probably bounce around between PR, PL, & AC)
Saturday: Cults, Death Grips, Four Tet/ Portugal. The Man, MATT AND KIM, Beach House/ A-Track, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons,BILLY IDOL, EotS, Boys Noize
Sunday: LeeFields, Action Bronson (or just chill/ wander), Wild Nothing, Holy Ghost!, TAME IMPALA, DAVID BYRNE AND ST. VINCENT, PETTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
needless to say, I'm beyond excited, And I can barely wait these last 20 days, 18 hours, 3 minutes, and 20 some odd seconds. Btw if any of you are Haim fans, forgive me for bragging but I will be watch DB & SV and Petty with Este and perhaps Danielle and Alana, dear god I can't wait any longer

looks like we'll start off the first part of Thur. together.
looks like we'll start off the first part of Thur. together.
I knew we'd have shows in common!
we really don't after that. what kept happening last year is we would see you coming in for the next show, when we were leaving to go somewhere else. we won't be in the tents much this year

Well hopefully the weather is good this year so you guys don't have to be in the sun all day.
Last year I saw zero shows at the Which stage (that's right, zero). Just worked out that way. This year, totally different. I feel like I'll be at the Which all the time this year.
