Does anyone think that it was scheduled to be a light late night because of the single day tickets? Maybe they didn't want to load up Friday night so that people will be more willing to purchase weekend tickets instead of just Friday.
Huh? Roo doesn't sell single day tickets. Do you know something about this that I don't?
They do this year, with a shuttle pass to Nashville.
Just throwing this out there as it just seemed odd to me. I did not fully understand why Portugal got such an early afternoon set at first. But since they played an amazing set on top of the float a few years back I am thinking maybe they will be part of something more late night possibly Friday in that tent. It just seems to weird with the big gap and them really playing up PTM in their marketing and lead in to Roo. I got to see that float show and I would be thrilled if they did something late night again this year!!
No they aren't. They are exclusive to Waka this year.

Pipeline, the company that puts on Waka, has the headliners basically sign on exclusively for Waka over Bonnaroo and SummerCamp. Kind of bummed, because some of Waka's headliners are good jam late night fodder for Bonnaroo.

So you turned down a free pass to music festival with photo pit privileges because you hate Panic? I wouldn't care if it was New Kids on the Block I would just consider it my job and then have a blast the rest of the time
I wouldn't count on Spree filling out the late night That tent activities at this point; but I did get confirmation via a private message with the band's Facebook account that they will be having a "normal rock" pop-up show and hour or so after the cinema tent show near the fountain. I'm guessing this will be roughly the same spot as where We Are Scientists appeared last year.

No, my company pulled the coverage so I'm not going to Waka anymore because of that. I can't afford to take off both Bonnaroo and Waka and not get paid.
To expand on the complaint about WSP, I didn't want to shoot them for two sets as a headliner because as a photographer, they aren't exactly photogenic nor is their stage show. There isn't a ton of movement so it makes for a lot of really boring shots. Because they are a headliner, I would kind of have to be there.
Believe me, if I could still go and shoot that fest, I would.

i'm just sayinnnn. i could definitely go for a petting zoo at bonnaroo. how fucking cool would that be! only not just like sheep and camels and shit. fucking zebras and giraffes and elephants and shit. OR what about elephant rides!!!! how cool would that be! idk 'bout youu, but i'd ride a 'phant at roo. i'd pay like 10 bucks for that shit. maybe get some zebra's involved if they're down to not bite. perhaps some peacocks? OR a butterfly pavilion! OMMANN! or like a bunch of tropical birds! fuck snakes though.

I believe that to be an unfortunate generalization.
I think it could be another superjam. The science of superjams article they posted today mentioned "The rep will grow bigger this summer as Bonnaroo will grow the franchise to include even more Superjams on-site." But lets not get our hopes up.
