I did not see a thread for this so I will pose the ? Usually, they have the Sonic Stage acts listed when they release the schedule. Unless I am just missing it totally, I did not see it. Are there going to be no acts on that stage this year? Did they do away with it (Highly unlikely I hope)?

I'm certain it'll be added later, like the ford stage last year. I think that Bonnaroo just wanted to get the schedule out ASAP, and Sonic stood in the way of that.

I'm pretty certain we'll still get Sonic stage- along with Solar Stage and Silent Disco... there is a lot they haven't announced yet... lets not forget the announcements about the totally rad 3rd waterslide, the Friday night Late Night gap at That Tent, and the addition of a family of cookoo birds in the tower. The masterminds behind the scenes still have 6 weeks to keep us entertained and guessing (and tickets to sell)... all will come with time.

Let's hope so. There wasn't alot of buzz with the lineup additions so I'm hoping they pull something out there ass to keep us entertained this month. Really cant imagine them doing away with the sonic stage. It's a great way to meet artists while killing an hour, and the crowds seem to get bigger every year.
To the people with the Trombone Shorty conflict, i cannot recommend him highly enough. Probably my favorite show of 2010. Was bummed he didn't get a late night, but opening up What Stage is a perfect fit

Some of my favorite sets last year (Gary Clark Jr, Art vs. Science, We Are Augustines, Dawes) were at the Sonic Stage. Didn't really discover it until Saturday (last year was my first Roo), and loved the 30 minute sets.

Hoping Maps and Atlases plays a Sonic show or two. Discovered them after they got added and are really digging their hybrid folky, electro, eclectic sound. I already have too many conflicts for me to see them on Thursday though.

Cosigned on this. If you haven't seen Trombone Shorty you need to drop everything and see him right now. Such a fun, high-energy show and he is a true virtuoso on on the 'bone.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

infamous string dusters played a mean radiohead cover one afternoon. good shit.
The Bonnaroo app is updated, and the sonic stage is on the map
Can you please post a pic of the new map? I am having problems with the app on my phone.
I honestly don't think there's a legit 2013 map yet - I've talked to people on different devices who have the app as well as the website and everything map-related still says 2012.

you're right. I just updated the data for the app and the map still is from 2012.
I feel like the map always comes out kinda late (at least for my liking and cause I arrive earlier than most to volunteer)
Wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get a new map until a few days before the festival in an app update. I think last year the only map I was able to have was the one they give you at the gate

on topic, i'm almost positive someone was confirmed to play the sonic stage on facebook. i don't remember which thread it was posted in, but the sonic stage will be back. fear not.
When I saw The Men a few weeks ago, the bass player told me Bonneroo offered them an afternoon Sonic stage set or something. They respectfully turned it down, said they'll go for a Tent next year. He also said he worked( or volunteered) for 5 years at Roo. He may have ment the new music lounge maybe, My ears were ringing pretty hard after that show.

I would love to have rocked out to The Men at the Music Lounge. Still waiting for a chance to see those guys live. I always miss them when they are around here.
