I just want factual personal experience info on this please???? i have only arrived at Roo on Fri, to basically zero waiting time. This year I really want to do Thur. I need to plan the road trip accordingly, and get a good idea on wait time. Anyone who has arrived on Thur between the hours of noon and 5pm, can you share your experience please? Ill be in a rv if that changes anything. Thanks!
I went back in 2011 and after about 11 AM there was no wait at the East / Back Tollbooth. It was dead from 2-5 PM - you'll be pushed to that Tollbooth mostly likely if you're coming from the north.
I can't speak to the West / Main Tollbooth as I've never entered there.

I have come from the south to arrive at around 10 a.m. the last 3 years with little to no wait time at all. 2011 when I drove in I was literally the only car in line at the entrance from the freeway - it was really bizarre. Last year there were about 50 cars ahead of me which was still awesome. Long gone are the days of 8+ hour waits.

Last year there was slight traffic at the back tollbooth thursday midday but nothing like the wait on I-24. We got mad lucky last year in ended up in camp Vader by getting to the back tollbooth at around 11:30 AM after gearing up in McMinnville that morning...probably taking the same approach this year. You should be good between 2 and 5.
I camped in access last year and got there around noonish last year. Wait time was non-existant but again, I camp in Access but there was very little backep up traffic

That was in 2007, so definitely less relevant than the other posts here. (I also have no idea which way we came in that year, since it was my first Roo and somehow I thought it was perfectly reasonable to just print out Google Maps directions from NY to Manchester. It's sort of surprising that we made it there at all.)
