Dude fanny packs are perfect for Roo..that or something similar..really just something that holds more than just your pants pockets, has a zipper, and you can keep close to your body/sight.
Well I'm not forcing anybody to buy anything. It is a kit related to Bonnaroo, it's not like I'm seeling the pedegg. Obviously, if I do want to sell something it's going to be related to this forum, which is helping people going to Bonnaroo. And I'm not posting on threads that's not relatable.
The OP posted weeks ago asking if everyone thought these would be a good idea, and was met with warm response. Now he's got his product together and shared the link to it. I don't think that's spamming, guys. There were some people in the original thread who seemed interested. Unless the mods think this violates a rule of the board, give the guy a break.
There's a good buys thread where people post links to Amazon, big box store, etc. products all the time. Bearly Edible's in here looking for volunteers. I've been known to pimp my books out (in the "Art of Such & Such" sub-board.)
Hell, Bonnaroo itself is a great big money-making enterprise.
So why should we favor putting money in, say, Jeff Bezos's pockets rather than the OPs? I don't see the harm in supporting someone who's working for themselves, as long as we can figure out a way to do it that contributes to the general vibe around here rather than detracting from it. (Which: I'm not saying this thread detracts from it...just airing my thoughts on the place of commercialism on this board.)

I think these are a pretty good idea, especially for first timers who are kind of lost in what to do and don't normally carry this stuff around the house.

It is indeed spamming when you create multiple threads to sell your products then proceed to post the same thing in other threads, I think.
Ok is everyone not listening to their mind say that fannypacks should have been left in the 80's and 90's? Whats different about your product? Seems like any other fannypack...

Your idea is bad and you should feel bad, SPAMMER! You guys have it right, I do feel better about myself. Seriously though, I think that's cool for first timers. And it's not the fanny pack that's special, its the contents, there's nothing medicinally special about a first aid bag. How is that confusing?

I don't really see this as "spam". Now if OP were trying to hock home made healing crystal jewelry, tie die T-shirts and guided meditation tapes, yeah I would consider that spam. Like linana said vuuroo brought this idea up in another thread and was met with a pretty warm reception.
I think it's not a bad idea. I did some quick googleing of the packs contents and going with the cheapest of the cheapest items I could find including a fanny pack I came out to a $29.25 value, not including any shipping.
A suggestion for OP, on the site you nicely list out the contents of the pack. I think you should include a picture under those sections showing people what products they are receiving in each category. Another neat idea might be to have a small picture of each individual product pop up when hover your mouse over it. My $02.
Oh and 1 last thing I'm pretty sure the name Bonnaroo is trademarked/copyrighted. If you are putting "Bonnaroo" on the packs like the picture shows I think there is a greater than %50 chance you will get a Cease and Desist letter from their attorney. Might want to just stick with ROOPAK.
