Per jambands.com:
Willie Nelson will join Bob Weir & RatDog, Phil Lesh & Friends, The Allman Brothers Band, The String Cheese Incident and Widespread Panic at this year’s Lockn’ Festival on September 4-7 in Arrington, VA. Nelson, 80, is currently on tour with his Family Band, with dates scheduled thru August. The guitarist’s latest album, 2013’s To All the Girls… peaked at number two on the charts in the United States.
More artists are expected to be added to the lineup next week. Tickets for the festival are currently on-sale via the Lockn’ website. Last year’s edition of Lockn’ boasted the likes of Furthur, Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter and The Zac Brown Incident featuring the country rocker collaborating with String Cheese Incident.

Gary Clark Jr. announced today. The 2014 lineup is coming together nicely. So far they have Bob Weir & RatDog, Gary Clark Jr., Phil Lesh & Friends, The Allman Brothers Band, The String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic, Willie Nelson.
For what it's worth (probably nothing), a green boarder said last Friday that Gary Clark Jr, Steve Winwood, Wilco, and Grace Potter would be added this week.
I' previously put in for the vacation days for work, and the recent additions are making me glad I did. Winwood and WSP is going to be a can't miss. Bring on "Dear Mr. Fantasy!"
I've been looking at different fests for later in the year and I think this will be the winner. It'll be a long drive (13 hours) but it seems like a super chill event and some shows I don't wanna miss. Anybody they add later will just be a bonus for me.
Anybody go to last years? Just curious about the side by side stages and the overall camping, thanks!

A buddy of mine from Athens did the RV VIP combo there last year and had a great time, though, I'm sure doing that improves a festival regardless.
Anyhow, he really liked the side by side stage deal because they pumped the sound through both stages and one band would start right after another finished. So, no travel time or movement to see music. It's all in one spot.
He's never been to Roo though, this is his first year so keep that in mind.

The side by side stages worked well. I'd suggest doing the tent only camping unless you want to pay the expensive prices for VIP or forest camping. You park right next to the area you will be camping and it's not a bad haul at all, plus it's right behind the stages. Super VIP RV, or something like that, is inside the track, facing the stages and VIP is on a hill to the side.. The car camping can be several miles away, but they have said they plan on adding shuttles this year. One positive for car camping is the campfire stage. After the last performance inside the venue they had shows from the likes of Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band, Pegi Young, and Bruce Hampton. I never made it out for one of those because of the length of the hike.

Jambands.com announced last week that The Allman Brothers Band will be performing Live at Fillmore East. Nothing says it on the official Lockn' page, but I'm pretty sure that jambands.com and Lockn' are affiliated.

I can't wait for this fest! I wanted to go so bad last year and just couldn't get enough money together. This year is a different story though, I will be there for sure!
