I don't usually stop except for gas and maybe a sandwich and coffee. In Effingham, IL. It's about halfway between home and Nashville and about a tank of gas away. And then gas up once more in Nashville.
When you get down south, don't laugh at the gas station clerks' adorable accents. They don't seem to like it.
Oh God I just remembered how many people from up north will be at Roo and now I'm freaking out about how many people will mention my accent (or what I believe to be a lack thereof).

There's nothing like being in the south and being made fun of for having a southern accent. It's a weird sensation.

Ask siri. She always know the best places! When I drove across the country from Virginia to New Mexico I used her in nearly every town I stopped in. Whether I was saying, "What's a good taco place near me?", "What are somethings to do in Oklahoma City?" or "Find a hotel near me" Siri was always helpful. Of course you could always just go to yelp.com if you dont have an iPhone.

I just realized Tennessee is the south and how many people will have southern accents. I've only been to the south once before.

I'm just saying what Claytonator is saying, it'll be a bit weird to get just a single comment about my accent while still being in the south. It'll be a new experience I guess.
