I would like to hear feedback from anyone that rented a locker last year.
I am pondering getting one this year, and bringing items I would usually leave at home, like my laptop and Ipod. Perhaps it's my paranoid mind, but I think if one were a thief, these lockers would make good targets, with the reasoning being that anyone that spent $40+ to lock their things up, must have valuables to lock up. Anyone who rented one last year have any problems?
Yeah, they're watched all day and I'm assuming all night aswell. Used them in 2011, put our Csnadian passports, flight info, and phones in. If you remember, 2011 was crazy dusty. Everything was covered in dirt, but my gf was smart and thought they may leak if it rained and put it all in zip lock bags She's a keeper that one!

You can't rent them on-site, can you? If I get stuck in Pod 11 or something I'd definitely shell it the dough for a locker and stick a cooler of beer and samiches in it on my way in every day. I suppose it would be inconsiderate to pitch a super-tiny tent in TO and just keep a cooler in it, unless there was extra space, which seems unlikely. Surely it would get stolen if I tried that.

I rented one last year, and barely used it, but when I did, it was very useful. It was great to put merchandise there throughout the day, and there was a merchandise gift card included with the locker, which was awesome. Pretty much paid for the rental itself. I wonder if they're doing that again this year?

The rental lockers near Centeroo---are they worth it? I don't want to rent one now and not even use it! But I'm nervous they'll sell out, and I remember last year wishing I had some where to put my stuff without going back to camp. Thoughts on the lockers? Pros/Cons?
Can anyone tell me how the lockers are numbered? Like is it letters or #'s or both? I'm meeting friends and a specific locker is the single most pinpointed place I can think of at Roo. I'm Canadian my phone won't work and I basically go dark once I cross the border, so I need to pick a locker and time beforehand. To give you an example of how silly things get my first year I didn't know I had gone through a time zone till Saturday and was so confused why I was an hour early for everything.

Not sure exactly how they are numbered, but the lockers are on the campground side of the wall. So it may not be an ideal spot to meet up with people between shows since you have to leave centeroo to get to them (and then go back through security again).
Bumping this thread because I'm wondering, are there ever any rentals left once Bonnaroo starts?
Q: Will the lockers sell-out online? Can I pay for a locker at the event? A: Maybe. There is a limited supply of lockers and all of them are available online right now. Every one could be reserved online before the Festival. If that happens, there will not be any available to rent at the event, unless someone cancels at the last minute. No one knows for sure. Each and Every One of the Lockers has been rented online at some of our previous Festivals. If you Reserve Your locker NOW, you’ll save a dollar or two, and we guarantee to hold your reservation for the entire event.

The bobble heads near the Which stage are also a good meeting point. My group usually meets at the picnic tables nearest to the Ferris Wheel.
I am the original poster here. Just to update for anyone curious, I didn't hear any horror stories. Altho, I was still on the fence until I read this on bonnaroolockers.com:
Q: If lockers are outside the music venues and I have to leave a show to use my locker, will I have to wait in line to get back in? A: Correct, the lockers are outside the music venues, but just right outside the entrance to Centeroo. If you show your key at the Accessible entrance (right between the lockers and the entrance to Centeroo) you and one guest will be able to enter the venue and ditch the long line. There are long lines to get into the venues from 10am-2pm each day, right before the first bands go on, so we suggest avoiding these times altogether to enter.
So if you get a locker, you are entitled to use the handicapped accessible entrance, and can skip the long lines at the main entrances! That sold me right there. That might be worth it even if I don't store anything in the locker!

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaang! No kidding, that makes me want a locker without even needing one. I am slightly skeptical about how on-board all the security people at that entrance will be, though.

I called the guy who does the lockers before I reserved one to guarantee that this was the case. I asked him about being able to bypass the lines with the locker key and he basically told me that it's new this year (because of complaints in previous years like "Why have a locker outside Centeroo? I have to wait 30 minutes to get back in just cuz I want to drop off my bag?). He said that Bonnaroo are the ones who wrote that answer but they also told him to not use that info as a promotional tool. Like, he couldn't promote it as "Cut the lines! Get a locker!".
The reason I called was because I felt like "Sure, they write this on the site and I get there and the security is clueless and tells me no". He assured me that Roo wrote the response to that question and as far as he knew this would be the case. He also seemed very helpful and appreciated the question/call because now he knew one of the possible pitfalls to look out for.
I rented a locker and will be bringing the printout of the FAQ page in case there are any issues. The guy seemed really cool about it though and told me to find him/call him if there were any problems.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Is this an error or do you think this is purposeful?
Error. They're a small local business that does the lockers. Or at least was in the past. The site isn't made/run by Bonnaroo so it's probably a simple mistake.
Looks like they won't be having the "Use your locker key to cut the Centeroo line" this year. Oh well. That was a fun perk. We'll see in the future. Maybe they'll have some inside and some outside (but still able to use the outside key to skip the lines).

Ya, that was the reason I was looking. I think it being inside is great, I generally carry around a lot of crap I don't need for just incase.

Yeah a little bummed we won't be able to skip the lines this year, but it's a good change (especially since most people didn't know about that perk).

I'll probably end up still getting one because I like to have a backpack/bag with me but don't want to carry around that crap for late nights. And I generally stay in centeroo all day so this is still cool.
I'll probably rent a locker this year. I never return to my campsite during the day, so I am always lugging around my backpack with water and snacks, a sheet to sit on, etc. Being inside centeroo is a definite plus. Why my dumb ass hasn't rented one before is a mystery...
I lock all of my valuables and money in the car, but I wouldn't mind getting a locker for my Moonmat and stuff that I don't want to haul around to the big evening shows.
