So I've been going to Bonnaroo since 2009. I've always bought through Bonnaroo.com, but last year my friends bought theirs on stubhub around this time of year for 180-210 dollars. So now were all waiting for stubhub prices to drop. Is this a smart idea? Just trying to get a general consensus. I've never done this before but my friends swear on it. When do you think the latest I should wait is?
Stubhub currently has 838 tickets available with the lowest price being $240. Considering Bonnaroo isn't sold out yet, those prices will probably hold until it is sold out. Then the prices will probably go up if and when Bonnaroo sells out. I would try to snag one up now. Nothing is guaranteed though so I always suggest getting your ticket asap.
That's how I feel, but there is always people trying to get rid of them as soon as possible because they can't go, or their tickets aren't selling. I'm waiting one more week. Then I'm snagging whatever the cheapest I can find it.

You should also check Bonnaroo Chris on Facebook and reddit.com/r/bonnaroo or reddit.com/r/reddaroo. People on there are always selling their tickets for less than face value.

No comment on buying from StubHub, never done it. But that logic just doesn't make much sense to me. There are 838 available on StubHub, which is quite a large amount. Bonnaroo doesn't really "sell out", they just typically announce it is a few days before the festival for more of a publicity thing imo. And since these are actual physical wristbands and not e-tickets, people can't be selling them on StubHub right up until the event happens since transportation time of the wristband has to be accounted for. So by the time it's no longer feasible to sell the tickets on StubHub, Bonnaroo likely still won't announce it's a "sell out". So people start lowering their prices.
So like I said, never bought off StubHub, so can't comment on that route. But I'd expect the prices on there to drop as we get closer, not the other way around just based on supply/demand. Good luck with however you get tickets though!

I posted 2 tix on stub hub yesterday for 240. One instantly sold, unfortunately after fees I got 200 and they ended up paying 280. I still have one left and would do a private sale for 240. We can do pay pal or meet up if your in the Philadelphia area. I'm 100% legit with receipts and very trustworthy. Contact me on here or at Aferraccio@gmail.com for any info.

stillsick1 If you want to get a ticket for less than face you should wait until right before the fest and buy on Craiglist. You get your ticket in person and it's a cash deal so no worries. They will typically be about $200ish in the days before the fest and drop to like $150 on Thursday.
I see you are in New York so if you don't see any on your local Craigslist you can look in Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville and Louisville. Good luck!
