Hey team, this will be my / our second year in at Roo. Last year we read on inforoo somewhere (can't find it now) that the best time to arrive is 9-11 a.m. on Thursday in terms of closeness to Centeroo. Well, after driving all night from when I got out of work on Wednesday we arrived right at 10 a.m. and got a great spot at Billy Rosewood. Since then I've read different accounts of arrival time and campground, some say it's a crapshoot and it doesn't make a difference whatsoever and our whole experience was just coincidence.
So I thought if we could add our own experiences in recent years with this we could maybe come to a definitive answer. Thanks!

if you enjoy long walks on the farm and camping in BFE, arrive weds nite when they officially open at 8pm. guess they fill up this area first b/c they have to make way for the VIPers to arrive early thursday morn.
i've arrived thurs morn around 9am and entered off the i-24 exit the past 3 years. star wars camps have been my home for the weekend each and every time.

Went '06-'09 and also arrived around nine and got great spots every year. Longest walk was 10 minutes.

Hmm, I arrived, um, let's say at "8pm" when a gate actually opened on Wednesday night the past two years and got nearly the same nice spot in Pod 2. Arrived at 9AM Thursday in 2010 and got a terrible Pod 10 spot, after about a 9-hour wait in line. I suppose maybe 2010 was a weird year, and perhaps not coming in off the interstate in 2011 & 2012 could account for the difference in my experiences. Too bad there is always some unpredictability and we don't have a crystal ball. Seems like BFE is generally filled on Wednesday night, but not everyone arriving early Wednesday night necessarily gets BFE.

In 2011 arrived around 8am ish on Thursday..got put in Stewie Griffin...horrible! In 2012 arrived around 8pm ish on Weds night...got put in Camp George McFly by Pod 2 and it was GREAT! Had the best time and pod 2 was hoppin!
Hope to arrive on weds night again this year and hope for the best! Nerve wrecking!
