First time at Roo this year! How much is a typical meal in centeroo? How much would it cost me to get two meals a day all 4 days? I'm flying in so I can't really bring all that much food with me
The food in centeroo is pretty darn good, with lots and lots of options, from burritos to bbq to various ethnic dishes.
Agreed, it is generally good and there are some pretty diverse options, from burgers, to pizza, to grilled cheese, ethnic food, and healthy/organic/vegan stuff. I typically spend $6-10 for a meal (not including a beverage), and some run up to about $14 or so. Pesto mozzadillas (a heavenly quesadilla) and Spicy Pie (big, satisfying, foldable slices of pizza) are my favorites and both run about $6. The $9 fried clams were about the only disappointing thing I've tried. There is some good food and some cheaper options outside of Centeroo, too. $2 garlic grilled cheese samiches are hard to beat.
Nothing is dollar-menu cheap, but portions are mostly pretty big, and there are snacks available for reasonable prices, as well. My budget is limited so I will try to eat at camp as much as possible (fingers crossed for a good spot), eat one vendor meal a day, and save what I can for tasty treats at the Broo'ers tent.

These guys are spot on. $10 sounds about right but it's usually a lot of food....or extremely tasty, which makes the $10 a little more easy to swallow....
I don't know if you are going with anyone but my best friend and I would usually go halfsies on a meal. It's so hot out there we rarely had a huge appetite and we would pay $10 for one plate and just split it. That definitely helped cut costs.
There was one year when I went alone and all I wanted in the world was one of those stupid Bloomin Onion things....I was pretty sure I needed one in my life at that exact moment. But I was by myself and they are huge so I bought one and shared it with whoever was sitting next to me....who then shared it with their neighbors....that fried onion got around....so many germs, but so many happy people.... I honestly can't think of why it was pertinent to tell that story.....I had a reason but I lost it...
morale of the story: lots of food, amazing food, strangers sharing food.
