Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'd like to join camp this year, and am traveling +2. I'm still working out our arrival time (either pre-gate time Weds or very early morning Thurs AM), gear list (borrowing/purchasing), but it is likely I will be able to contribute some shade and at the very least a couple cases of coconut water. I'm also planning to harness up a spacious bike cart for transporting gear, tired friends, lost puppies, daft punk, etc, that others would be welcome to borrow. I'll update soon as I solidify plans.
`Brian
Unfortunately no bikes at Bonnaroo, I will have a regular cart though.
Oh, no, I am not planning on bringing a bike, just a cart designed for one that I want to add a waist/shoulder harness to
I have a party of 8 first timers (we're all 18) and we just did a dry run in my yard: 3 9x7 coleman domes and 4 10' sq ez ups. Could you hold us 3 10' squares and we'll donate one ez up to the cause. Eta Thursday 530 am from NJ with mom and dad staying in the RV. Let me know if we can count on camp inforoo holding this land. Otherwise we'll make a run for it on our own. Dad said he'd pack stuff for Roo camp if you hook us up.
Well it is that time of year again, and time to start getting camp ready. If everyone who is planning on camping with us will throw down a quick post with the number of people in your group estimated arrival time, and the amount of communal shade you could bring it would be a big help and I will keep the list up to date. We will try to keep space open for everyone who posts in here and I will check groups off the list as they arrive so please do not sign up unless you plan on making it to camp.
To start Wolfman Jess plus 4, we will have two extra communal EZ ups and I will arrive Weds evening to get stuff started.
Wolfman +4 2 canopies.
Nature Boy plus 1 canopy
Linana solo
Fuzzy Warbles solo
4th trip to Roo, but this is the first year I'll be going solo so I'm really looking for a fun group to join. I have an EZ up and a few tarps that I'd be happy to share. I've never made the migration to tent only before, so I'm not really sure how this works. How will I find you guys?
Hey all! This year will be my 6th year and I've always come to the farm with a big group and we've always done tent only. Well this year it's just me +1 (and she's a Roo first timer) so I'm kind of hoping we can hook up with the Inforoo group. We'll each have a tent and I'll be bringing 1 10x10 shade tent that we'll prefer to be with our tents but will certainly be happy to share. It's gonna be odd for me only having 1 other person, especially since they haven't been before so I thought getting to camp and hang out with a group would make our experience even better. We're coming from Pittsburgh and as of now planning to get in the area to get in line between 3-5 am.
This will be my first time attending Bonnaroo. I'm hoping I could camp at inforoo, but I'm clueless as to how this whole thing works. Is there still room? Does Camp Inforoo run out of room? I have a ga ticket, driving solo from St. Louis and plan on meeting someone there who is also solo. If camp Inforoo has room for us, that would be great! She is planning on arriving Wed at 8am and I am planning on arriving either wed night or thurs morning. If anyone has some advice for me about camping, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a tent and an ez up screen tent (not sure if I should bring ez up), I also have kerosene lantern. Is that allowed? Looking forward to meeting you all--Stacey
The farm land where they park cars (and also where most people camp) is pretty huge. The section where all the music and shows are found (called Centeroo) is just a portion of the total area. Near the two entrances to Centeroo they usually section off some space for "Tent Only" camping which basically means that instead of camping by your car (which a majority people will do) you will instead take your tent and any gear/supplies you want and set up in the closer "Tent Only" section.
Camp Inforoo isn't an official area but rather wherever the first inforoosters can set up. Usually there's a collection of us there hanging out. It's nicer to be closer to the entrance because sometimes you get parked very far away which makes going to and from your camp site annoying.
Also, definitely bring a shade/screen tent. It gets really hot/sunny and you'll be thankful you have it, whether you put it over your sleeping tent or in a communal area to make a big shaded area in Camp Inforoo.
Thanks for explaining that, I was about to ask the same thing. I remember keeping a lot of stuff locked in my car last time though. Like all of my spare clothes and crap I would keep in there in case it rained, and I can't remember what else. Any valuables would of course stay in there. What about food? Is there a good chance of it getting stolen in a tent only area?
Well, not to sound too paranoid...I would really like to meet some people on here as I think I will also be solo-ing it. I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times already and I should UTFSE, but how do we find camp inforoo? Will there be a big sign or something?
I don't really have any gear to share, in fact I think I need to buy a new tent. I'll probably buy a cooler in case someone wants to throw a few things in.
All the people who want to go in Weds will get in, I will do my best to hold stuff for the Thurs people as best I can. Also I really promise to get on this stuff this week so we can make it work.
If Jess isn't going in first thing Wed I'll be happy to take the numbers for everyone going in early Wednesday and get us organized... either roll into together or split into 2 groups in case 1 of us hits bonnajail

I'd love to join the group! Myself +1. We have at least one canopy that we could possibly donate. We will be bringing more than enough snacks, water, and other essentials. Not to mention plenty of good vibes. Will be arriving early on Wed.
Alright cool. Anyone who is going in with the first group on Wednesday, send me a message with your phone number, number of people in your group and what you have to bring (i.e. ezups, tarps, whatever for claiming our area) and I'll get all of that organized and distributed before Roo.

I believe I'll be setting up my sleeping tent whereever the car I roll in on is parked but I plan to be at Camp inforoo for most of my non-music-watching weekend.
OK, I have a few questions. I may be riding in with someone who also has to pick somebody up at the bus station at 8am. If we wanted to join Camp Inforoo, or at least get a spot in tent only, would it make sense to drop someone off and have them walk in with the tents? Is there a drop-off point that makes that feasible?
I will be rolling in Thursday morning +1. We are flying in so unfortunately we can't bring an ez up or beer and water but we will be bringing a shower tent!!

Yeah, I mean they can drop you off anywhere along the way. You enter the same way the cars do, just walk up and once you get to the booths, I believe there is one line specifically for walk ins. Probably a good idea to send someone in Wednesday night to guarantee a spot.

Stupid Question: So, if I'm not going in with the first group, will I still be able to camp with you guys? I'm getting in sometime Wednesday night, but I won't know what time until probably the day of. Ideally, sometime around 7 or 8pm, but realistically, probably around 10-11pm.

We are a group of five. Me (Lynn), the three girls (Amanda, Leah and Hollis) and my sister in law (Susan). I'm dropping the three girls off at the gate on Wednesday afternoon then heading down to Huntsville for an overnight with an old friend. The girls are bringing in our 10X20 carport and will get it all set up. I invested in one of those 2X4 foot super wagons for them to haul everything and that is available for the common good. We also bring the big Hatteras Hammock and will set it up outside our carport for whoever needs some relaxing time I also have ordered the banner and have an awesome photo on it, thanks to Fawnmart. You will just have to wait to see it! So, the kids will be there, walking in, carting all the stuff they need to set up that night and helping anyone else who is there early. Susan and I are coming in on Thursday midday.
Looking forward to seeing everyone! Let me know if we are meeting up early at the Wal-Mart.

Yep, if we organize like last year we'll have a ton of tarps spread out to mark off our area (and there will be plenty of room in TO on Wed night anyways)

Hey folks! My name is Zach, this is my second Bonnaroo. And this year i'm going solo.......So ive been trying to find a group to camp with so I dont feel entirely lonely. I read somewhere about camp inforoo. But I dont remember it from last year? Is this the place to solo roo goers? Coming from Dallas, TX too.
Hey y'all. My name is Ish. I'm coming to Bonnaroo with a first timer as this will be my third. I've got a tent and a 10x10 canopy. Along with my 20 foot flagpole and don't tread on me flag. Haven't been back to Bonnaroo since 2008. I joined the military soon after that. Let me know if you all need some shade or space. I am arriving pre gate time Wednesday. Thanks everyone. Ish
Ok you know what, since I'm doing this already I might as well just collect everyone's info. So if you would like to be up to date on Camp Inforoo activities send me the following:
Name (and inforoo name)
Phone Number
Day and TIME going in
Number of people in your group
EZ-Ups, Tarps, Chairs, etc - Anything you will contribute to the group, not what you are using personally
I'll compile all of that in an Excel spreadsheet and keep everyone up to date as we get organized in TO.
This goes for all of you guys above, if you're comfortable PM me your information so I can get you on the same page with us.

This will be my third Roo, first one solo. I just found out for sure that I can go in the last couple days. I would love to get there Wednesday night, but I'd need a ride from Nashville Airport. I can contribute 1 8x8 EZ Up and a couple 10'x12' reflective tarps.

I will not say for sure that I will Camp Inforoo this year (mostly because I can never seem to get anyone on the phone who knows where it is at 2am on Thursday the last 2 times I've tried.) However I always seem to end up in the general vicinity. So see everyone in 12 Days!

Ha. That is a very good point. in '11 it took forever to get somebody on the phone long enough to find the camp, especially since I'd never met anyone before.
I'll also add anyone who has sent their number or whatever, so you should be in regardless.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not use this for open discussion like it was when we tried it 2 years ago. To reduce spam/battery drain let's focus on only using it for informational messages in regards to getting everyone organized in Camp Inforoo.

I think my battery was half dead by the time I friggin parked in '11 due to the massive amount of texts I got.
